Cooper's definitely the better teacher. Don't try to memorize every word in the textbook. Look at all the pictures that he talked in his slides and understand them. try to draw them out. Try to print out his slides beforehand and write notes on that.

maybe this guy knows his stuff, but thats not all that makes a good teacher. his self-righteous know-it-all air affects everything from the way he talks to the way he makes the exams. NOT a good teacher

Class was difficult for me because it requires memorization in a topic I found extremely dull. Open book exams made were hard. I feel bad for myself. This class is what finally drove me to see a Dr. who diagnosed me with ADHD. The class brought out the worst symptoms. Honestly, pay attn to detail take time to memorize and you should do decently.

Made the class way too hard and is one of the guys who really knows his stuff but shouldnt be a teacher. He wont give you the answers you are looking for unless you can tell him something about the topic first. Class takes over you life if you want a good grade.

Difficult and disappointing class. If you have a photographic memory, you're good. If not, inserting the textbook into your head is easier than doing well in this class.

Super full of himself, teaches from a book he co-authored and seems to ask test questions which reflect things he wish he'd been able to include in the book, rather than things we actually learned. Lectures are painful and way too fast. Rambles and you never know when he says something important.

His lectures are the worst of the 3 professors now teaching the course. His exam questions are near impossible and don't reflect points he emphasized in class. The lectures are painful to sit through because you never know when he makes an important statement.

He will belittle you no matter what you do, so you might as well do a lot: ask questions, both in lecture and in office hours; just generally stay involved. Don't mistake it -- he really will cut you down in lecture, and his exam questions are torture. And yet, he is actually quite charismatic and cares about you as an individual.

Ok, this professor is THE hardest one I've ever had, but I would definitely take him again. The book is no good on tests unless you have it memorized. As a lecturer, I loved his class. After reading the book four hours a day, I did well. If you want to KNOW the material - he's your guy, just be ready to work!

Has a lot of energy in lecture, but comes across as arrogant and confusing. He can be nice to talk to outside of class but isnt especially accessible. There is a massive amount of material covered in class and his test questions expect you to understand it all in detail. Curved low, but also low test averages.

Ok, maybe this rating is a little harsh, but his questions were just annoying! You'll see what I mean when you see 10 blanks to fill in one test question. He does have more enthusiasm and interaction during lectures than Cooper, but at the same time, you don't know wtf to focus on, especially after you get used to Cooper. Prepare to flip the pages.

Pompous jerk! Terrible lecturer, overly dramatic, nonlinear, tough to get anything out of. Lectures not useful exams. Index and define every word in the book to do well. Exam questions are annoying and pointlessly long!! Studying doesn't help because the questions are too picky and not based on important or useful ideas. Abuses jewish terms.

You've got no choice. Its Hausman & Cooper or nothing. Hausman is a much better lecturer than Cooper, however as was already said---he's no easier. You'll begin to question your intelligence. Interesting material, IMPOSSIBLE exams. It doesnt matter that they're open book.

He is a jerk in office hours. Though he has alot more energy than Cooper, nothing he tells you in class is on the test. Its all stright from the book. You will do better NOT going to class. Bank on the curve and do not take this class unless you have to.

This man is a welcome respite mid-semester from Cooper, but he won't be any easier. Hausman is a much better lecturer though and his questions are slightly better than Cooper's. However, the tests are hard and they love it that way. The average for the first test was a 51.

Distractingly dramatic, and the content of his section of the class can get a little complicated because of his research, but cracks amusing deadpan jokes and is no worse than any other mid-level bio professor. And for pete's sake, read the book.

More entertaining that Prof. Cooper, but less organized. He knows the class is the biology major weed-out class, and he takes it VERY seriously. As far as studying, I would suggest physically inserting the entire textbook in your brain.
