His grading scale is good if you can do good on one test and the pointer exam. In the end he didn't give me the grade I earned based on his scale but one letter grade lower, and then said that I didn't deserve the A.

Programming is hard. Dr. Hecht does a great job of teaching this subject step by step. He cares about his students and has good nuggets of information to offer during class for future job seekers. He is always willing to help students in class or during his office hours. I am impressed by him so far.

The worst Professor at Fresno State. Did not leave his chair the entire semester. Horrible lecturer. Over 98% of the class was lost. Does not use the book which is required for class. No need to go to class just find out whats on test and study those problems. You will leave this class no better than you walked in. Dreaded going to his class.

He does not assume you now it all so he takes it Step by step (Some students might not like that). The things you learn from him, never forgotten. He uses his own notes (sometimes missy) he works alot of examples.

Huge curve. Gives your almost exactly what will be on the test before you take it. Dont worry about reading the book, you NEVER use it. *HINT* When he gives you the practice test, go over it again and again until you know the problem (screw learning). We went so far as to make a "template" of the problems beore the test.(Open notes/book!!)
