Professor Kearney is the best professor at IWU. He cares about his students and made law so interesting. He makes coming to class every day something you look forward to. He is hilarious, and every IWU student should take a class with him.

Best teacher I have ever had. He was able to make Business Law, which is a normally dry subject, interesting and fun. He offers extra credit and conducts the best lectures.

Great professor, easy to engage in lectures and a fun class to attend. Difficult material but he makes it much easier to understand. Business majors should definitely try to take a class with Kearney before graduation; he won't let you down

No textbook which means coming to class and taking notes is very important. Make sure you study really hard for the mid-term and final because they will have significant effect on your overall grade. Not very much work assigned outside of class. Good professor, funny, goes off on tangents but still covers all material.

He's a great professor. Be there everyday because there isn't a book to study off of. It's just everything he says. He's a tough grader, so make sure you put in the effort when you do the writing assignments. Other than that, he has increased my interest in law. He's hilarious and will make you laugh every class. It's not really writing intensive.

I feel like Kearney is one of those professors you have to take once at IWU. His personality takes some getting used to but he presents law in an interesting and engaging way. I ended up really enjoying his class

One of my favorites. Interesting subject with hillarious stories and real world examples. Kearney is no holds barred but very willing to help. His tests are "tough but fair" Plus he doesn't believe in textbooks!

absolutly halarious only class at IWU that i dont mind attending. Pretty difficult, but watching this guy tear people apart in mock court questioning sessions is both impressive and halarious and makes the extra work that is necessary, worth it.

Very Overrated. More interested in experimenting and hearing himself talk then in developing students. Rewards mediocrity and discourages excellence (probably because he can't recognize excellence beyond his own ego of himself).

I took two classes with this professor, and he is wonderful! I learned so much, and had fun doing it! Kearney is a great professor, and I was so glad to hear he was recognized for his talent. I'm glad he's no longer a lawyer b/c we need him in the classroom!

Best teacher I had during my four years at IWU. Not even a business student, but I took all of his classes. Professor of the year, 2004. He definately deserves it. Yes, he can be hard, but if you aren't a slacker, you'll do well.
