Comment:
The lab reports for this class are graded fairer than intro chem. Lecture is useless, no one listens to him, you just got to get your hands on some old tests with answer keys and memorize them. Hope he repeats questions and guess on everything else. He posts the PowerPoints online, but if you take notes you are wasting your time. Old tests are key

Lectures not very helpful but go to them because anyways for iclickers and homework answers. Most of your grade are lab reports and homework, so don't worry too much about the two tests. Just do the practice tests and look over the homework and you should be fine for those.

I'm amazed this man is still employed. His lectures are completely useless, and I mean that literally. I did not learn a single thing from his this semester. His struggles with technology alone should disqualify him from teaching, but even when he gets the projector working, all he does is show 25 minute videos that were made in the 70s. Horrible.

Really nice guy but incredibly boring. Lectures are useless. He gives you old exams and that's all you need to do well. Study them hard and you'll be fine.

Go to lecture for the iClicker questions but feel free to be on your laptop the whole time. Besides that all you need are some old tests to practice with (which he puts on the website anyway) and you'll do fine. The exams are easy if you study.

The one hour lab lecture is completely useless. I went a total of three times, once on the first day, and then for the two exams. Pointless. Labs are graded much less harshly than any other lab class. Study old exams, do CAPA problems, and don't mess up labs by doing stupid things and you'll be just fine. I got an A.

Don't go to class, it's a waste of time. Try to get a good TA, otherwise you might end up with someone annoying you about organic chemistry for four hours straight a week. Get the old exams to study for the tests. Do all your capa sets, they're basically free points. Lab grades are always awesome, just do them. Easy A, snore, snore, snore

Easy class, although getting a good TA really impacts how much work you'll be putting in each week. Lecture is a complete waste of time and extremely boring; don't bother. Study old tests and the CAPA questions for the two exams, don't do anything particularly stupid in lab, and you'll get an A.

Failed the class...got a B. How much better can you get. Not much else to say on him, but do not get the TA wenrong gui. Wenrong (aka often-wrong) is an idiot. Always do the opposite of what he says. He even instructed us to pour Et-Ether, Chromate and AgNO3 down drain. Way to poison the school.

Easy class, just get a good TA. Why does he go off on tangents about Quantum Mechanics and other stuff we don't need to know for the exams?

Lecture is straight forward. Labs weren't that hard of you have a good TA. Tests aren't that bad either and CAPA is short. Based on lab reading and analysis. You can use the lab book to solve them.

I took it in the summer so he wasn't around much. Not that he needed to be. We relied on the lab ta's. The test questions were not covered in the course since there was no lecture but the grade was based on lab work so it didn't matter.
