SERIOUSLY not that hard, you guys. Do your homework, and you'll be fine. I had demanding coursework outside of this class and had absolutely no issue with any of his assignments, including the examinations. He's a nice guy, though I will agree that he does not "connect" very effectively with slackers or those who do not learn the material easily.

HE IS HORRIBLE. HE CAN BE NICE OUTSIDE OF CLASS, BUT IN CLASS HE EXPECTS YOU TO BE FLUENT JUST LIKE HIM. HE THINKS YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO READ THE BOOK AND "BURN IT IN". HIS TESTS ARE ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. HIS FINAL EXAM IS ATROCIOUS. HE CLEARLY DOESN'T UNDERSTAND THAT WE HAVE OTHER CLASSES AND NOT 8 HOURS A DAY TO DEVOTE STRICTLY TO SPANISH.

Dr. Kahn tells you exactly what to do to make a good grade in his class. It is not an unreasonable amount of work and he is dedicated and enthusiastic. Before I took the class, everyone tried to scare me and say he was difficult but it just isn't true. If you spend an hour on your homework everyday you'll be fine.

Dr. Kahn is hard and he will ruin your GPA. Like someone else already said, he is not sympathetic to the fact that this is a requirement and that many people have other classes. It is such a shame that many people get lower grades in his class than they do in classes for their major. Half of the people who sign up eventually dop.
