Compared to the nightmare that is Poman Sos elec 216. Roberts phys 216 class is like night and day. Written relevant examples on the board, classroom demos, and clear lecturing were a breath of fresh air. Very helpful in office hours as well.

Bob is a great guy and definitely wants you to pass the class. His answers to questions are clear as are in class examples. I would take a class with him again

Comment:
PHYS 216 = ELEC 216. He has good lectures and bad lectures. If you sit in the first few rows his lectures for the most part are pretty good actually. But the further back you go the more dry the lecture gets. Good at describing stuff. Doesn't use the board too much and taking notes in class is a little pointless. Overall good teacher and helpfull.

Bob is a good guy, a boring lecturer, but a good guy. He genuinely cares whether his students do well and is quite helpful outside of class. He doesn't really get jokes though, but on the upside he sometimes shows up in some great mid-80s Miami Vice-style attire.

took both his courses (PHYS 317 and PHYS 216). very good lecturer, clear, easily to follow and most importantly makes the stuff interesting. class examples can be hard, but he'll explain them thoroughly. midterm and (especially) the final are easy in comparison

CSC 242 was supposed to be my bird course but ended up being my hardest. The stats material is very difficult and he makes it no easier to understand in the lecture. He is a genuinly nice guy and obviously knows his stuff very well, and teaches as if his students should know it as well as him. If you have never taken stats before avoid this course.

Really hard class. Explained the topics in pretty technical jargon but knew his stuff. Helpful and rather understanding about the hard nature of the class. A very nice guy. Intimidating class material.

He was a bit scattered in the lectures, didn't write much on the board & didn't explain things really thoroughly. The lectures weren't really linear, he sort of talked all over the place. Helpful outside of class though.

Notes were clear. He didn't follow the notes, though. He just skipped around them, kind of confusing in that way. Really boring, but helpful, if you ask.
