Kunkel is by far one of the best professors that I've had so far! He really cared about the material that he is teaching and made going to class not as bad. I would not skip class as the notes he does in class are basically what the exam is all on. The homework's are helpful towards the finals but challenging at times. Also curves class at lot.

Comment:

Kunkel is a good professor! The note packet helps with the lectures and studying for exams. Try not to miss class. The material on exams comes heavily from lectures. The homework is helpful and gives you a good idea of what to expect on exams. Make an effort to understand the material and take advantage of the extra credit!

Comment:

The test are the same for all the BUS 331 sections; he uses a note packet & that helps(make sure u filled out during class), no notecard for test(they really should allow one), the test is the same for all sections(hard). I didn't use the book but it might help on the test to read the chapters in the book. Do the online quizzes & hw on time!

Comment:

Kunkel is a great professor. Exams are tough, and the HW can be tricky, but he gives you a good idea what to expect. I'd definitely recommend going to every class and try to understand the material, not just memorize it.

Dr K is hands down one of the best professors I have ever had. If you go to class and put the effort in, you have ever opportunity in the world to EARN a good grade. He doesn't just hand it to you because he wants you to learn the material. GREAT professor. Challenges you so the information sticks. Have to do good on HW. Easy EC available too.

Kunkel is a funny guy. Expect him to relate finance to football a lot. His tests are directly from the lectures and assigned readings and he never tries to trick you. Not only did I learn a lot about the class material but he gives real world financial advice too.

This course itself was not too bad. The concepts themselves are pretty self explanatory and most of them are common sense. The hardest part for me was the math component of the course. I took the class as an interim class, and there were two exams and online quizzes/homework every night. You can retake them as many times as necessary!

Professor Kunkel is a great professor. He lectures at a good pace, explains terms in an appropriate for this non-business major course, and is really great at answering questions. Lots of homework is assigned, but it is helpful homework.

Kunkel is the man. If you are interested in Finance and confident in yourself, you will love this class. He challenges his students and expects them to grasp college level topics, but he makes it very digestible with the notes and lectures he has prepared. Don't take his sarcasm or trick questions personally and pay attention to the details of EC.

Professor Kunkel's exams are tough. Be well prepared. He gives 2 extra credit options worth 4 points each, along with 4 Homework real world exercises that are helpful for understanding. Go to class to get the notes and you should be fine. Good Professor.

Professor Kunkel was a good guy and always said he wasn't trying to trick us in the homework and projects, but yet it seemed like there were hidden tricks to each one. Class is somewhat difficult, but take advantage of the extra credit opportunities because they can save your grade.

He taught pretty easy material but seemed to only care about having students fit in the A,B,C category for grades. He made it like a competition and always made jokes about how to *beat* other people in the class. Also talked about fantasy football a ton.. I had to take him as a professor but would not do it again!

This is probably the best finance professor I've ever had. He covers concepts clearly and actively engaged the class. The material is difficult, but He makes it interesting.

At first I did not like him but soon realized he is a great guy and a great teacher. The course is structured well and he give exam reviews that are almost spot on. The exams can be difficult. You need to FULLY understand the topics not just memorize definitions. Exams are tricky.

Tests are challenging. Some questions are based on prior knowledge from other classes. Exams are not quite the same as material presented. Some interpretation is required. Definitely knows the material and presents it easily, tests are just a challenge.

Anyone who repudiates dr. k doesn't belong in finance. 333 is one of the best and if you put in the effort, one of the easiest classes in the finance program. Very fair, but strongly adheres to the syllabus and prior semester's precedents. DO NOT buy the book, everything is predicated on his lecture notes you buy, i strongly recommend him

Kunkel is a great professor. He is a little chalenging but well worth the time spent to learn the material. Anyone who does not like this professor is clearlty not a financially intellegent individual.
