Interesting professor. Open current events discussion every class. 1 midterm, 1 final, 1 final paper, 1 resource paper and a panel on a topic you sign up for. No textbook, just various books and articles for reading material. Attendance isn't mandatory, but help your grade. I enjoyed the class overall, but don't take him if you have thin skin!

One of the BEST Pols professors at UH! Lots of reading and writing, but interesting nonetheless. Not a boring class at all. His class consisted of a mix between lecture and discussions.

Dr. Lineberry is great! Every class starts with a discussion on current events. These were usually fun. The books are fun to read- especially if you like social policy stuff. Class is not hard, really easy to get a B. Pay really good attention in class to get an A

Dr. Lineberry was great! He expected what every other professor expects..show up on time, do the readings, and listen to lecture. Its really not hard. If you don't want to do the work or have thin skin then maybe you should reconsider your college career. I would definitely take him again.

Such a sweet old man. Class mainly geared towards immigration and social security. Read or look up the summary of books online go to class to the paper and you'll get an A. He's extremely nice and helps out his students. The lectures aren't boring either.

Lineberry was fun to listen to and really understood the material. Tests were easy because they were straightforward and directly out of the material. Take good notes in class, do the readings, and it'll be easy.

Fairly easy class, but online quizzes can be fairly abstract. Midterm and Final aren't too tough. As long as you show up. Boring lecturer and can be rude, literally laughed at a student for stating something (the student also happened to be right) Didn't feel like i learned anything new from POLS 1336. Not the worst, but I still don't recommend him

This was the dumbest class I ever had to take!! He is very rude and mean. Do Not i repeat DO NOT take this class!! I read the entire book and did horrible on the test..the pop quizes were dumb and irrelevant!! He wants you to memorize graphs not facts..unneccessary!! Plus the class was boring..waste of time and your money!!!

random quizzes (10 ?s) that i got average of 80 on. Dont buy textbook, but buy access code in textbook for online quizzes. When you take online quizzes copy/paste all info (esp. charts and graphs) into Word bc ?'s are real specific like what was Nixon's percentage approval. how the hell are we supposed to memorize the #?

I hated this class. The modules were impossible unless you wanted to spend a couple of hours memorizing graphs. I read most of the book and it was pretty interesting. Dr Lineberry knows a lot but it a little grouchy. I liked that we talked about current events at the beginning of every class. I would not recommend Dr. Lineberry.
