Dr. Main not only knows what he?s teaching, he?s also comical and relates it back to the subject matter. Weekly quizzes, and news journal assignment were both easy. Not difficult to earn an ?A? (I did) if you attend class do the assigned work.

If you fast forward through his lectures on Quicktime, you can still hear what he's saying, with the added benefit of him sounding like a chipmunk. He was really goofy about grading and what not - follow up and make sure you are getting credit for everything. The essays are EASY, just follow instructions and don't try to be too profound.

He has been one of my favorite professors here at Chico State. His classes were easily understandable, informational, and always amusing. I always learned history from his olden days, and had a laugh when he could not hear his students speak. Great man, Great teacher!

This class hooked me on INST. This guy is classic, with real world examples and a desire to pass on a love of instructional design. The lecture that included the story about the use of **** as the dying agent the fabric of ancient scholar's robes. NICE!

I took the class via CD-ROM, and the video lectures were quite dry and boring, but I didn't expect any different. While they were boring they were very informative and to the point. I got an A in the class with minimal effort. Never uesed the book, just listen to the lectures and you will do fine.

I took this course through the cd rom, which would have been fine. But he up and moved to Washington D.C. Its very hard to have a helpful teacher when he is not around. It took a long time to get email responses, and even then they werent helpful. He is a good teacher, but wasnt around to be helpful.
