Unorganized lectures... no written notes, just pictures slide after slide and he goes on and on talking. Material is not hard though. He tests what he teaches (including side stories). Overall easy class, just not very exciting.

He does seem like a nice enough guy, but that doesn't compensate for his lackings as a good prof.He builds up the course as if completely within the boundaries of the textbook and then writes exams which are based on anecdotal tidbits from class and convoluted questions which resemble in no way previous exams ('03,'04). BORING!, unclear, not easy

Bob is truly stuck in a bubble and really doesn't want to escape. He has an amazing dry sense of humour that can catch you off guard and make you spit out the coffee you will need to drink to stay awake in his class. I'd chill with him any day though because he seems like a cool guy who just wants to talk about earth science...
