Mr McDonnell is a cool guy. He's fair with grading papers, he's funny, and he doesn't give out much homework. A lot of people **** that he isn't on time for class, but WHO CARES?! Less work. It's funny how all these kids who are so offended by his timing are the kids with the bad grades. Anyway, he's fun, interesting, and helps out. Recommend.

One of my favorite teachers for any COM or HU class. Great, fun, and definitely entertaining. His discussions are always interesting and his paper assignments are short and not hard at all. He's super funny..one day he came to class with one brown shoe and one black..and didn't notice until we told him.

He's a great guy, very interesting, with uncommon experience in the subject material. He knows what he's talking about, and is very intelligent. The class is very laid back, though ineffiecient. He gets distracted easily.

Mr. McDonnel just talks about random things the whole entire semester. He grades papers very hard and makes you a better reader. I had a C at the end of the semester but he magically gives out A's to the people that show up and participate. His class is probably one of the biggest waste a 3,000 dollars i have ever seen.

McDonnell is well... Entertaining. He seems to do a monologue at the start of every single class about technology or internet suits or some totally unrelated topic. It's definitely interesting how he comes in and practically explodes. And, yes, he did bring that coffee in.

He's a really good professor....very understanding of students...he does go off about stuff that's unrelated in class, is always late to class, his class is laid back, and he gives a lot of time for his papers. I liked discussing the stories and materials in class. Overall nice guy.

McDonnell is one of the most knowledgeable professors at this university when it comes to the subject matter he teaches. He's nuts, and he knows it and has fun with it. Very entertaining, and informative. Just remember, he's ALWAYS late for class.

Bad teacher, avoid if possible. Goes on random tangents about anything and everything not related to class material. Speaking of material, there is none. No planning, no organization, no goals, nothing. And the few grades he does give are graded much too toughly for a 100 level course. I honestly don't think I learnt anything.

GREAT GUY! Awesome class with non-stop fun, there was a wierd guy that sat in the corner from europe, can't remember his name but he had blonde hair and kept trying to hit on me. LOVE ROBBIE! great guy and easy goin in class, if you have the chance take it with him!

No surprises in this class. We designed a buisness card, a full-page ad, redesigned a phone-book style ad, and made a brochure as the final project (no final exam). There was also one test early in the semester. The workload is relatively light and it also allows you to be creative.

He's friendly and laid back (which also means it may literally take two months to get back your first test). This class tends to be tough for non-com majors, but if you're a solid writer and follow directions, you shouldn't have any problems. Usually 1 writing assignment per week.
