Rob is an eccentric, but extremely intelligent and cool guy. If you dont understand his lectures at first, its ok. His class is not an easy one because he is a very deep and clever guy, but he does not mark extremely hard and i learned a heck of a lot from him. Totally recommended...

It seems almost as if he doesnt really care about the course material. No one has a clue what to really say for his random discussions and readings dont really apply to any of them. He is not a bad fellow, but must work on his clarity and unjust marking ability.

To everyone conused: This is not rob's fault. It also not the fault of the course. Who is left? Rob's one of the best profs i've ever had, and while he's prone to the occasional gereralizaion, he always has interesting stuff to say.

K well he's a really nice person and he tries to help you work out your essays and things like that but the class is so disorganized. And when it comes to tests you could have anything on there that isn't very relavent to the readings but just random things said in class.

I agree that he is a great guy, but I find the class discussions are unfocused and I don't come out of the class sure of anything, makes me afraid that when it comes to midterms I won't understand enough because he doesn't give straight answers.

Meh, he's got everything working against him: tought source material makes up the syllabus, so no one reads it, so class discussion is poor. Every class felt like the teacher in Ferris bueller. But very nice guy willing to work with you about assignments.

Best teacher I've had at this school by far. Always finds an interesting way to cover material, is very helpful and approachable. He's the reason I changed my major to History. Do whatever you can to get into his classes.
