He will pair smarter students with struggling ones and make their peer-editing grades depend on their individually written papers. Good for the student struggling, bad for the smart student whose grade is decreased because they couldn't fix edits that were impossible to fix because of the struggling student's inability in English. Unfair.

This was one of the best classes I've ever taken! Professor Moore actually CARES about you and your opinions. The class is very discussion-based, so make sure to speak up. He'll make you enjoy reading, writing, and talking in class! Pretty easy grader, but A LOT of reading to do. He's not always clear about instructions, but just ask him for help.

Comment:

Robert Moore is such a sweetheart. He genuinely loves what he teaches. Plus he reminds of what a grandpa should be like. He loves theater, and did require us to see two plays this semester even though it is an English course, but it was enjoyable. Would recommend!

Professor Moore is such a sweet professor who wants his students to engage in the material he provides. This is a seminar class in which you need to read the material or you will not do well in this class. This semester he introduced Hemingway and Fitzgerald, and his passion for these two writers was shown through his teachings. Love him!

I am in love with Robert Moore. He is so sweet and his class on Hemingway/Fitzgerald was so interesting. My class was very quiet so once I started participating he seemed to really appreciate it. He can be a little boring though if you don't engage yourself with his teaching.

Although a very sweet man, Robert is very hard to listen to for an hour and twenty minutes. He is never clear on exactly what he expects from papers and allows for a lot of leeway. However, with the leeway comes an inconsistency with his grading. He was funny and wore great sweaters, but I don't think I'd take another class with him.

I absolutely adore Dr. Moore! He's my adviser and I've had him for several classes. He is intelligent, well spoken and passionate. He really knows what he's talking about and he keeps students interested. Very helpful and genuinely kind. I recommend any class of his!

Such a kind man! He is truly a sweetheart, I love Dr.Moore! He was both my prof. and adviser. His 204H class isnt easy, a bunch of papers, and hes a tough grader, but he enjoys a good joke and knows when the class is struggling. Watch out, though- he makes you read some weird stuff sometimes. If you have to take 204H, take with him! :D

Prof. Moore inspired me to be an English teacher. I have been teaching for twenty years. I run my classes similarly to how he ran our classes in the 1980's. I loved his class discussions, and his rapport with students is exemplary. Thank you Prof. Moore. I miss my days at Oswego. Enjoy them while they last

He is an awesome advisor. I email him probably once every two weeks with questions and he always answers fast and effectivly. He is extremely helpful. If he is your advisor or teacher , I hope you realize how lucky you are. The only reason I plan to stay in the Honors department is so he will stay my advisor all 4 years.
