Absolutely awesome, a lot of people have misconceptions about Dr. Moss and believe he is too hard on students. However, in reality he is the smartest professor at Wofford and does everything for his students. I believe I learned the more information from his class than any other class I have taken at Wofford.

Professor is very unwilling to help, ignores communication, and changes due dates in the middle of the night. Not a good professor if you want to learn or do well moving forward.

He is a very intelligent professor, and an excellent lecturer. The issue is the workload- he assigns a quiz and an hour of videos to watch before that quiz every lab day, and the quiz is online due by 8 pm that evening. Combined with even a normal workload, this is an extreme drain on my time and effort. If not for the workload, he'd be great.

The tests aren't awful if you study a decent amount. Lab reports are graded harshly. Lots of work but if you keep up with it, it's not too bad. He calls on you in class about the readings so do it or you lose participation points for everyone you get wrong.

Dr. Moss is, hands down, AMAZING. He is brilliant and humble at the same time, and is a very nice man and professor. His classes are hard, no doubt, but the topics he covers are complex and intricate - if the class wasn't hard, something would be wrong. DO take him if you have the chance and DON'T hesitate to go to his office - he is a HUGE help!!!

My favorite science class so far! Professors Moss and Kay are a great duo. The class was always interesting and raised the important questions we need to answer in todays world. Too bad it is not offered more often. Take it if you can!

Phenomenal professor, super intelligent can answer any question you have, and if he can't he will find the answer. Looked forward to going to class, material is very interesting. Can be tough, but really wants his students to have an understanding of the material and is very fair when it comes to grades. Excited to have him as a professor again.

Genetics is tough, but I learned a lot from Dr. Moss' class. Tons of reading assignments and quizzes, but they help you prepare for tests. Tests are really difficult, so don't expect to slide by without some serious studying. He takes participation in class very seriously. Lots of extra credit opportunities and he is always willing to help.

Definitely a fair grader; he curves everything to a 75, which is really helpful. Very knowledgable and passionate about what he does, and Dr Moss gets back with students very quickly via email. The class kind of consumes your life, but if you do the reading and problems he assigns and take advantage of extra credit opportunities you can do well.

I think Bob Moss was incredibly helpful and spoke very much ?on my level? when explaining concepts. He was always available to answer questions and I really felt that he wanted to help me learn which is a nice feeling. If you're a good student you will love his class. He definitely does expect the most from all his students.

Course material was very interesting and he selected a good book. Lectures are coherent and easy to follow. He grades exams very harshly. Some of the questions count for a lot of points and the topics were barely mentioned in lecture (or the book). Make sure you talk. He takes participation too seriously. Shouldn't matter unless you sleep.

Very picky on grading exams. Also seems to have a double standard for juniors vs. seniors in the class.

Dr. Moss is a great professor. His class is hard but he teaches everything you need to know and provides tons of extra help online. There are extra credit opportunities and lots of grades to pull up any low scores. Provides review sessions before the exams. Most importantly, he makes the material amazingly interesting. I loved going to each lecture

Interesting class, he goes out of his way to answer questions, even obnoxious ones- one person in my class continued to ask frivolous questions every. single. class. be prepared to work, he is a slave-driver. if you do everything as expected, you can definitely do well though. grades very harshly, too harshly in my opinion, on assignments.

Such an easy course! Dr. Moss is very knowledgeable, but tones it down for some of the less gifted students. It's much easier than the freshman bio courses, and requires much less studying. But it does require more work--lab reports which are graded very strictly. And the term paper was graded harshly, too.

Class is really interesting and he has a lot of resources available for you to use. You can email him anytime and he gets back to very promptly. The class is a lot of reading and his tests are a little tricky because you don't really know what to study, but overall a fun class
