This class was tough but at the same time it's one of the most interesting classes I've ever taken. The work is manageable, but his tests are tricky. Once you get past the first one though, you know what to expect.

Need to watch videos, otherwise you *will* miss test questions. Need to be more independent than 228. However, he makes things for both classes due at the same time so it's very difficult to get into see him about anything.

Class is interesting, but tests can be difficult. Go to class-it's not easy to catch up if you miss, because he adds so much extra info to the power points. Textbook is not entirely necessary, as he puts most of the charts on mycourses. Has funny stories to share.

Despite what he tells you, I found Lang Intv. to be more difficult than Lang. Acq. You'll need to pool everything you learned from Acq+ learn the material. It's doable, but don't let him fool you into thinking it's easier. He expects you to be v. independent for this one, so be prepared.

Lang Acq is difficult, w/ a lot of material (you'll read the text cover to cover by the end) that can be quite complex. However, if you read the book, take good notes and review a lot for tests, you can do well. If you go to office hours frequently, he's v. helpful. May seem intimidating, but truly loves what he does & cares about students.

Dr. Bob is a great professor. He is very helpful and makes sure that if you need help he is available. His tests are hard because there is so much material, and some of the questions can be tricky. Study hard and get his help on projects, and you should do well.

He asks questions on the test about what he said during LECTURE...so you MUST be in class everyday, and you MUST take in depth notes. Give yourself a few days to study, and you'll be fine. The class is a lot of work, but it's manageable.

Wonderful professor who knows exactly what he is talking about...The class can be hard but as long as you do the reading and study you should do well on the tests. One of my favorite classes so far.

Owens expects you to know a lot. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Only the fact that he assigns a ridiculous amount of reading from the textbook that often do not correspond with his notes(new material). However, his PP slides are very straightforward. Often unfriendly and in a rush during office hours. Hard to earn an A even if you try.

As intimidating out-of-class as Dr. House, especially when he tells you that you'll be expected to determine someone's MLU in 5 seconds, but he's an outstanding professor. He's helpful if he sees that you put in the effort. Don't expect him to coddle you.
