He's a great teacher, but my problem with him is, he would say, "This, this and this will be on the test, or final" and it wasn't. The final he said would be 100 questions from all the tests, word for word, and 100 from the material after the last test. It wasn't like that at all. I still did ok, but I don't like being lied to, nor did others.

Probably one of my favorite professors! Does a good job of making hard material easier to understand, and easy to go to for help. Tests are not simple but take notes and read your powerpoint slides and you should'nt have any trouble.

Maybe he has gotten better since some of the bad ratings, I think he's great. Likes to use alot of associations so that is kinda helpful. Tests are alittle hard but, that's why this is college Pay attention People. He has a good sense of humor and tries to make it fun, but it's Bio how fun could it be. He loves the words Wicked Cool !

Dr. Pope is an excellent teacher. He knows his stuff and tries to make sure his students know it as well. His tests are ok, a little hard, but most of them are directly off the power point slides...which you can print out so you dont have to write everything. He makes the class interesting with his humor and stick.

I loved Dr. Pope, he's brilliant, funny and he made the class very interesting. His tests were difficult if you did not study or pay attention. If the class doesn't whine about everything, there's no problem, some students treat class as if they were still in highschool. This is college, they are professors not teachers/babysitters.

Lectures were good -- all over the place at times. His tests were horrible.. the first one isnt too bad, but after that its not so good! There are things on the test that arent in the book or notes -- way harder than it needs to be. He's a funny guy, but not a very good teacher. He got in lots of trouble with our class, just about everyone filed a complaint against him. He also could care less if people cheat in his class -- until the dept does - then he flips out. He's out there...

Makes everthing much harder than it has to be... I suspect this is intentional. You never know what info you are responsible for and tests are out of left field. He punishes the class for his lack of organization. My advice is to stay away at all costs!

His lectures are pretty easy to follow along with but make sure you pay attention to all fine detail because he will test over things you thought were unimportant. He likes to skim over just about everything.

Dr. Pope is a great guy. His lectures are interesting, and at times humorous. But somedays he moves extremely fast (200 slides/day) I think he drinks too much coffee!
