Had her as a supervisor. It was tough to get a hold of her at times when I had a question. She gives very good suggestions to improve, however, it was difficult to build a rapport with her - for me at least. I personally would not take this professor for anything. STAY AWAY.

I have one word to describe this professor and that is HORRIBLE. She is also VERY rude. I wish I could share the grade I received however the semester has been over about a month ago and have still not received a grade. I hope I never have to deal with her again!!!

She is awful! Has terrible office hours (as in she's never there) and takes forever to get back to you when you email her. She also did not follow the syllabus she posted so I just thought she had changed it around, when she actually forgot to post a lecture on a topic which was on the final! Also, never posted our grades for the research project.

Comment:

Professor Northington was my favorite at WPU, and I took her as a senior. She is incredibly smart and knowledgeable about her subject. Would do anything to help her students succeed, and she genuinely cares. Made me feel much more prepared for teaching. Highly recommended!

She is not an easy A but she is very helpful, though I have heard the opposite from those who have taken her online. She does lots of class activities and discussions which make it fun. We had a midterm that was graded incorrectly by blackboard, a group project, and a final essay that she gives you a week ahead of time

She gave us 4 assignments and took points of for reasons that were not about the actual work. We had a presentation and 2 exams. After the spring break there was no word from her till the last week of the semester. She was not helpful and cold when you needed help or had a question.

Shows no compassion or consistency as a professor. Tests are vague and hard to comprehend. Rubrics are over the top with no review or regard to student outcomes. Only three grades are given so be careful. Arrogant and argumentative during open discussions Avoid her if you can.

Good teacher. interesting class. Took her summer course which was probly better than taking her for a full semester. First test(midterm) was multiple choice and not bad but not 2 fair either. The second test (final) was 2 essays and kind of hard.

This Professor does no teaching. Does not make you come to class. Turns class into a Hybrid and never gives online work. That's good and all except when it comes to your grade. So if you don't care, take her. It's a gamble at best. I wonder what the dean of Edu at WPU does? Obviously not looking over secondary ed department.

A bit nasty at times and kind of strict with the grading, but overall a decent professor. She takes off crazy point for spelling errors, when she has hundreds in her presentations. Someone needs to get off their high horse and do as they teach. Don't take points off for something you don't do yourself. It was a hybrid course which was annoying.

A little intimidating, but a fun class. The time just flew by and I feel like I really learned a lot. She's on maternity leave right now, but if you get the chance, I would take her. Go to class and take good notes and you'll fine. There was one group project, but you get to pick who you want in your group.

She was a good teacher. I learned a lot. The tests were pretty hard and based on you ability to memorize many things from the book. The project is not too bad, 9pg paper with presentation, but she is a pretty hard grader. She is extremely helpful though.

She's not very good. Most people are fooled by her. She's quite high on herself. She doesn't hand back final exams which is pathetic. She does it to control grades. Knows her stuff but it is quite easy to see she's fake unless you are clueless. Tends to play favorites based on certain elements.

Dr. Northington is THE VERY BEST PROFESSOR ever. She is well adept in her areas as well as other disciplines. Her courses prepared me very well for my experiences as a teacher. She was/is also very interested in my success even now. THE BEST!

She's looks like Halle Berry. She's a VERY good teacher and is very professional. She's not EASY, but she's very fair with her grading and the ammount of assignments. I learned a sh**load of information from her. I definately advise ed. majors to take her
