Comment:

He is very lazy but ok type of professor. His grading breaks down is very simple. passing is not a big deal in his class, but you have to do a lot of work on your own. But he is not a great professor. Just does one numerical per topic and then expects you do the application based in the exam. Still no harm in taking him and pass class with ease.

Rizza spends too much time on very simple examples and simple calculations. His tests are multiple choice, but the questions are deliberately tricky. And there are only a few questions, so if you get 1 wrong, you're screwed. Simulations are 20% of your grade and they are not clearly described what he wants done. Attendance is not really necessary

He is a good teacher, if you actually pay attention and listen. His lectures and assignments are very representative of the exams and he will help you when you struggle. His labs are a little disorganized though, you often leave not sure what exactly he wanted you to do with your data.

Awful. Lectures/labs are disorganized, &he wastes 5 minutes every lecture explaining painfully simple math (basic operations *-/+, triangle geometry, etc.). Tests are 5 questions (.5point for answer, .5 for work), so if you make one small mistake, BAM, you're at a 90%. Requires you to use an inane template for lab reports that makes them harder.

There is multiple choice for each quiz and exam (common final is that after all), but each problem will give you 0.5 points back (out of 1) for every incorrect choice. His homework, although necessary for the grade, is not that well shown in most of the quizzes. Attendance is necessary because it will help you with the homework given.

If Scatter brained teaching is your sort of thing, I would suggest. He spends more time worrying about the format of the common final than he does the material. The material that is covered is jumped through in an order that makes little sense. The class is easy but the stress of not knowing the material you should from the class is tremendous

Incredibly unhelpful and unclear. Very little project guidance. Didn't learn much about engineering. I feel as if I was gypped out of my educational experience. It is tempting to take him because of his easiness. Despite the rudimentary concepts associated with his projects, his students still get plenty of stress from his lack of direction.

worst teacher ever. he just talks to hear him self. and does not help you at all. gives you one example in class then he says 'now you can do them all" went to ME 309 and i am having a hard time with review because he is such a bad teacher.

Took him for FEA. He lectures on theory and only assigns a few hw problems on that. The rest of your assignments are lab reports on the software and usually very easy. Take time to learn the theory though otherwise you'll be screwed on the final which is all theory. Take him if you'd like to sleep the night before reports are due.

He just can't communicate it to the class. The first week you have him, he seems to know what he is talking about. After that its down hill. Hard grader. The Free Body diagrams must be Perfect!!! Otherwise its a "F". So the Idea of making mistakes while learning is thrown out the window. Only take him if you are a "Prodigy".. Or "The God Hermes"...

Theres nothing like walking into a common final knowing youre screwed! If you like this feeling go ahead take Rizza If not find a different prof for this class Gives HW on things that he touched on the day before its due doesnt do any examples as hard as the HW If you take him be prepared to teach yourself from the book!

Here's the deal with Rizza. His example problems on the board are like 10 times easier than the homework problems. He'll give homework on topics that we havent covered yet and expect you to figure it out by reading the book. Hes test arent as bad as the homework though. Oh and if you go to him for help during his office hours be prepared for him to have an attitude.
