He's an OK lecturer, but the tests were super easy. Textbook readings are "Assigned," but the tests are solely his lectures. Just go to class and put up with a lil lecture and you're set.

There are 3 or 4 exams, 85% of your grade i think. The lectures were so so boring, he made jokes that weren't funny and easily spends 40 minutes talking about nonsensical stories. I skipped this class for the last 2 months of it I just got notes from other people and nittany notes and studied for 3 days before the exam. Way worth not going to class

I loved Stevens! His tests can be tough, especially the first one, but he was always so willing to help me after class and at office hours. He doesn't take attendance, but you NEED to go to class in order to keep up with the material. Do every extra credit he offers, it helps a lot in the end! Overall, he's a really funny and nice guy!

Dr. Stevens is really nice! He doesn't take attendance, but his lectures are helpful as the PowerPoints don't have full notes. He's a genuinely good teacher and good guy, will most definitely help if you need it. Tests aren't horrible if you review. There are 5 homeworks in the semester that are easy.

Dr. Stevens is one of the best professors I've had. The content is relevant to real life and he is great at keeping the material interesting. Your entire grade is based on 3 exams, so be sure to take advantage of the bonus opportunities. I also think buying/reading the textbook is beneficial when it comes to his exams. Stevens is a great guy but exams are difficult. I would recommend Nittany Notes, but they honestly did not help me with this course. On the bright side, there are a few extra credit opportunities that you should definitely take advantage of. They definitely boost your grade; especially since the only grades come from the 3 exams given.

Definitely one of my favorite professors so far! His lectures are very enjoyable and he actually knows what he's talking about. I personally didn't do too well on the first exam, but after going to his office hours and talking to him he taught me how to effectively take tests. I went up 20 points on the next one!

Nice, funny guy who really knows his stuff and gives good examples. While the content can be fairly bland, he keeps it interesting with his humor and enthusiasm for the subject. Tests aren't bad; I suggest Nittany Notes in addition to your own!

Professor Stevens is the man! His exams are difficult if you don't study a lot for them. His exam questions are all about APPLYING the concepts rather than just defining them. I learned a lot from him, and worked my butt off this semester. He cracks some funny jokes, and he's really sweet. I suggest taking his class.

extremely relevant class. information is useful outside of the classroom and mastery of material will pay dividends in your future as a teacher. exams are difficult but fair. there are 3 exams and are the only grades for the semester so make them count. stevens has a lot of knowledge on the subject, good examples, and class is interesting.

This class is not bad. Do not get discouraged when he tells you his tests are from hell, they really are not that bad. Force yourself to go to class, and you will be fine. He rambles his lectures but if you listen closely you might learn something. Lectures were drawn out and he favors the kids in the fron row. Ended with a B+

This guy is freaking awesome! As said before, his tests are pretty hard because they're all application, but you get through them and you're fine. I was so satisfied with this class even though I got a B- because of how fun it was to go everyday. This guy is a piece of work! There are some things I will never forget from this class. GLEEBLE!
