Prof Dimitriadis is one of the best profs I've had in UofT. He's very passionate about what he teaches and very approachable. He's willing to go extra miles for his students. Make sure to go to his Friday movie sessions whenever possible (if he still does it); he introduced me to some of the greatest films in history.

One of the best lecturers in the History department. He really makes an art of it. Hilarious personal anecdotes were a nice touch! He also deeply cares that students do well, so he gives pretty detailed feedback on essays/assignments. Also an insanely fair marker - as long as you've clearly made an effort, you'll get a good mark.

Friendly and very accessible outside class time. I enjoyed his class very much - though I have only one issue - that is with the constant Trump bashing. Considering the divided social climate we are in, I noticed that many students didn't feel comfortable with his take on politics and I think his views were better suited for outside the classroom

He's the first professor I've had at the university to show such genuine compassion for what he teaches. He's extremely approachable and encourages students to ask him for questions or help. I've brought friends to his lectures and they're inspired. I don't know another professor at the university that's as knowledgable and compassionate as he is.

My favourite first-year professor, his dynamic lectures made what could have been a very dry subject into something really engaging, like a good novel. Sometimes they can get a bit convoluted but he is always happy to answer any questions. A cool guy too, make sure you go out to his pub nights when you get the chance.

This professor is an engaging lecturer but do not take this course if you want to take anything unbiased (or as unbiased as a single person can be). Hideously anti-communist and no nuance to his thoughts or views whatsoever. Seems like he didn't learn anything past what Ontario students learn in middle school and high school. Waste of time, sadly.

Really good prof. Lectures were great, felt like I was watching a documentary. I thought his treatment of the Cold War was pretty even-handed. Expectations on assignments were pretty reasonable.

Amazing lectures. Poorly crafted assignments. TAs are over worked and expectations are not clearly defined.

Amazing prof. Highly recommend taking his course. His lectures are straightforward and clear, people clap at the end of EVERY lecture. Easily got an 83 in this course. Exams and essays are straightforward. Had him during the TA strike and he took the time to see everybody who needed it about their essays. Best prof I've had at U of T, love him.

Brilliant and funny professor! Extremely passionate about what he teaches and is very approachable if you have any questions or want to discuss current issues with him. The course was so interesting and his anecdotes were great supplements to the lecture. Looking for another course he teaches that I can take

BY far the best professor I've had at UofT; he showed immense interest in the subject matter and as such made going to lecture something to look forward to each week. As much as the course itself was interesting he made it even better. Definitely would take another one of his courses.

Students tend to love this professor because he is funny. However, the fun comes at the price of meaningful lectures. His neoliberal interpretation of the Cold War was simplistic, one-sided, not nuanced, and uncritically biased. There were also factual errors in his lectures. I took his course because it was required, but would not have otherwise.

What a great guy! Taught the intensive and condensed yearlong course and made it comfortable. He is funny, calm, and relaxed. Knows his stuff, and loves when you answer his questions. Just a happy guy! Exam was a breeze; He said he HATES trying to trick students! Amazing. Take his courses. Invites class out to the pub too!
