I loved going to class everyday. he is like a walking almanac and he can make the most confusing things so simple. he outlined all our reading so we'd b able to follow along. hes strait forward, his assignments help concolidate the readings and lectures. he will enrich ur college experience!!! id take every course he taught if i could! He's Great!

Dr. Welch is seriously the nicest guy ever!!! He gives you all the information you need to know for the test word for word!!! its seriously sooooo easy, plus he is such a nice guy. I am going to miss him next year, he was SO funny! take him.. he is def the best!

He's past it a little bit, but he teaches those classes that you get out what you put in. I found him very stimulating and got a lot out of the class, albeit difficult and time consuming. If you're looking for easy coasting semester then do not take his class, but if the subject matter appears interesting then give it a shot.

Worst teacher ever. First hes pretty old and pretty incoherent. His tests are full of zingers. You have six papers, which isnt bad on the surface, except for hell mark you down points for not writing the sentence exactly to how he thinks it should be in his head. Books are useless and if you can avoid taking this with him ... do it.

By far one of the most boring and monotonous classes of my life. Not only is Welch irrational and senile, but is unable to explain the most basic tenets of Marxism. I feel sincere pity for anyone who signs up. Exams are unrepresentative of course content, and grades seem arbitrarly assigned. AVOID

Yes its true, he gives you most of the information you need to know. However, his tests are highly subjective depending on how you interpret questions and you have to write 6 papers. He marks you down on these papers if he doesnt like your writing style and his grading system is completely invalid. He is also crass and irritating. Avoid him!

Best teacher in the Pols. department. He really wants you to learn and will walk you through the information. You get great feed back about your exams. He will sit with you go over every question you missed- than give you points for it- helping your grade. really-really nice man. Everyone should take him at least once.

THIS CLASS IS HARD. Be prepaired for 150-200 pages of reading a week, with a 4-5page study guide for the quiz you have on the reading. If you don't mind a TON of reading, and vegin' out for 3 hours in class, then take this class, if not, i would avoid it

He is so amazingly awesome! Be ready to explore the radical side of politics cause thats all we talk about. He just had a stroke but is doing well which is good news. Take him!!!!
