Comment:

Grading includes hw, quizzes, 2 midterms, and final. The only purpose of the HW/quizzes is to lull you into a false sense of security before the midterm, which is conveniently right AFTER the last drop date. THEN you find out that she "doesn't believe in curving". Class avg was a around a 56% (= F), and she was COMPLETELY comfortable with that.

If you can avoid taking ANY class from this woman, do so. She isn't very clear during lectures, is rude and unapproachable outside of class, and doesn't curve. When I took the class, she scheduled the midterm for the day after the drop date, then made it IMPOSSIBLY hard. Avg was like 56%. And everyone that failed the test couldn't drop.

Though she is a very nice person, her lectures are impossible to follow. Her grading scheme is not designed to help students succeed. Her test questions are often unrelated to any examples, homework, or quiz problems. This class was the worst I have taken in my three years in the math department--take something else!

This teacher is horrible, by far the worst Ive ever experienced. How she made it in a UC I have no idea. She goes way to fast, does not explain anything, doesnt follow the book at all,just sucks. half my class last quarter is joining now in 16A again... bad breath + bad teeth = bad office hrs

I like her!!! I snore in other math classes, but her, for some reason I enjoy listening to her, and as she teaches you can hear her thinking process. She makes things really clear because she is very open-minded to the relations it has with other material we may have learn or interests us.

Very nice person, very awful teacher. She had no curve and failed almost half of the class. I would recomend to anybody that you should switch into another class if you can.

Homework that you actually turn in and the in class quizzes are easy, however, that gives you a false sense of security, especially when you have your first midterm. Class average was around 67% during this quarter. Not a good sign.
