Absolutely a great class. He is a professor that genuinely cares about all the students and will provide lots of opportunities to succeed. He drops the lowest quiz grade and offers multiple project assignments that are easy to do well on if you put in the effort. Cannot emphasis enough how great of a professor he was.

There is homework everyday but, its pretty easy and all online, which seems great until you don't have internet. The book is on Wileyplus too! So don't buy the physical copy unless you think you really need it!

My favorite class I've taken so far. Lock is a great professor and a very fair grader but you have to do the reading and lots practice problems if you want to succeed. Tests are easy if you've done the readings and studied, extremely hard if you haven't. Overall easy if you do the work, got a 4.0 and never took a stats class before in my life.

A forgiving grader; he even lets you use notes on exams. Classes are almost entirely lecture-based, so can drag on a bit. But Dr. Lock gives you everything you need to do well. Intro statistics is a good class to take if you don't consider yourself "gifted" in math.

Best teacher I've had at SLU. Very clear with his expectations. On top of grading all assignments and quizzes (students get graded material back the next class). Makes a consistent effort to make sure you have everything you need to do well. Explains things very clearly and has an interesting class. Wish more teachers were like Santa!

I strongly recommend taking statistics with Dr. Lock! He keeps the material engaging and always relates uses real life scenarios. He talks a little fast, so pay attention in class and keep up with your homework.

Dr. Lock knows his material, and presents it quite nicely. He does plenty of examples in class and is more than helpful during office hours. He can be funny at times and makes the class interesting. He follows the book pretty well also. He even allows cheat sheets during exams! Definitely Recommended.

Really great teacher. Like Stats and will spend lots of time answering questions. Very fair in grading and preparing you for exams and quizzes. Moves at a good pace and likes to provide examples. Really nice guy too. Has his funny moments.
