BUY THE BOOK for Social Problems, there's no way around it. Don't waste your money on the Sociology of Education book, though (Unless you want to buy my copy! Please!). Both classes are heavy on presentations and debate. He seems to get sidetracked pretty easy, but it's not a problem. He is a great guy and a lot of fun.

I loved his Sociology of Education Class, however, Social Problems was ok. Both classes you do presentation. I did not need my book really in Sociology of Education, however, I reccomend you buy the book in Social Problems...the material comes straight from it.

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!! His class was great! He is an awesome teacher! He deeply cares for his students and if anyone can't see that then evidently you weren't paying attention. He will bend over backwards to help a student out. I absolutely will take more classes taught by him. Thanks a million Dr. Loconto!

Dr. Friery is the best professor. You earn your grade, but he helps you along the way also. I have never run across a more caring and concerned professor than him. He takes the extra initiative to know who everyone in his class is and call them by name. I highly recommend him for any SY class.

Dr. Friery is a WONDERFUL teacher. He tends to get off topic quite frequently, but that's what makes his class fun. His tests are quite simple, just study the chapter reviews he gives you. I HIGHLY recommend him for ANY Sociology course.
