Teacher does not give very helpful feedback during critiques and so it's difficult to find out exactly what he's looking for in a project. Even talking to him personally in his office doesn't clarify what he specifically looks for, so it's hard to tell a lot of the time... You change something he recommends to change, then the next time he critique

If you are going into graphic design you have to realize you are going to hit your head against a wall. He brings that wall, you will thank him later for the 100 thumbnails you have to suffer through as a newbie.

If you really REALLY wanting to learn the craft of Graphic Design. Learn from him. That's only if you are willing to learn from your own mistakes. I learn the hard way, and it bites. But I learned and didn't make them again, he was my instructor.
