Comment:

Prof Hartman is an excellent instructor. His style is to teach new material in one class, then spends 15-25 min the next class reviewing it again. Master concepts such as "on to" and "one to one" early to gain a deeper appreciation of the subject. Prof Hartman was also willing to take time to schedule exam study sessions outside of class time.

Professor Hartman is a very interesting, very intelligent, and very funny teacher. His love of the subject and his caring of his students performance puts him at the top of the teacher ratings. He will make you more interested in learning. Best Math teacher I ever ahd.

I cannot tell you how helpful Prof Hartman is. Before his class, I was petrified of math. He was able to explain things in a real-world way, changing my fear to excitement (crazy, I know!) He really cares about students succeeding and really knows his stuff. I totally recommend him to anyone who is afraid of or thinks they are terrible at math!

Professor Hartman is a wonderful professor if you are taking Calculus or a lower math class such as 061, but if you are taking Discrete Structures, he is not the teacher you want. He does not explain the subject well, and his exams are extremely difficult with hardly any partial credit. If you want your GPA to remain decent, DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS

Such a great teacher! Explains everything and helps you whenever you need. Keep up with the work and the class is easy. The tests are worth 50% of grade so do good on them! I totally recommend this teacher!

His grading is WAY too harsh for a mathematics course. he tests you on your methods, but unless you do the tedious calculations and give him the right answer, he will destroy your grade and gives NO partial credit. arguing with him has no purpose cause he is "never" wrong. good teacher, but in today's world, GPA is everything. so don't take him.

I would highly recommend Prof Hartman. He is extremely helpful and goes outof his way to do anything to assist his students and he truly cares. Math is not a good subject for me and it is very challenging but Prof. Hartman always found time to encourage me and any problems I had always helped me find a soulution. IF it is Math Prof Hartman is tops.

He's extremely nice and extremely helpful, but let's be honest, his grading is a bit too harsh. Forgetting a variable in an answer could cost a letter grade. Still, he is pretty funny and a paternal kind of professor. He wants to get to know you and wants to see you do well. Definitely reccomended if you check your work and do the homework.
