Everyone gives this guy a bad rep. He is very knowledgable and a nice professor. Sometimes he can be very boring, but if you like economics he can be very interesting. Tests are tough, and many don't do well, but he expects you to go outside of the class discussions and lectures and get more information from the text book.

Terrible simply terrible. I was told he was a bad professor but unfortunately he was the only one teaching this semester. A lot of people will drop the class and many will fail the exams. He just gives extra credit to make up for the fact he is so awful. Does not help when you go to his office he stares at you and is not communicative. Avoid him.

He doesn't like the textbook, he doesn't use powerpoint, or any visuals other than chalkboard. He can't seem to explain the simplest concepts. His tests don't match what he covers in class. He is the most boring professor ever. Take this class with ANY other professor.

This class is very hard to sit through. I really recommend taking it with someone else. He is a nice and cute man, but his lectures don't make any sense and his tests don't have to do with what you learned. I wish I would have taken it with another teacher.

Very unclear, oftentimes exams include information not included in lectures or even the book. Rambles the entire class without making a ton of sense; in fact, one of my classmates has consistently explained the material to me better than Prof Johnson has.

Took Moral Issues in Business from this professor. It was a terrible class, although it was incredibly easy. The professor did not engage the class and taught terribly, just reading us the textbook in class. Boring as all get out.

Most people don't do well in his class. He doesn't complete his thoughts and asks a lot of rhetorical questions that don't make sense and leaves them unanswered. Don't buy the textbook-he will tell you nothing from the book is on the exams. Expect a lot of awkwardly long pauses. Avoid him if possible.

Some Econ majors don't even do well on his tests. He told us, "This is a Harvard level exam" For one there's a reason I'm not at Harvard. Second, if I'm going to be expected to perform as a Harvard student, I need to be taught as well as a Harvard student is. This requires a professor who is better than awful at teaching, which RoJo is not.

I usually don't rate profs on here but I thought I should rate him to warn people not to take him. Here are my reasons: 1) Extremely boring, very hard to even stay awake in class, monotone voice and he pauses for 10 seconds in between each sentence. 2) Terrible teacher, tests were very hard because he hadn't taught us how to do any of the material

He is a great prof. I took his econ class and the ethics class and I enjoyes them both. You need to take the time understand him. I must admit I was terrifed before I took him, but never judge a book by its covers. Just talk in class and go talk to him when you don't understand something. If you show interest to learn you will get an easy A.

All I can say is BORING. He repeats the same anecdotes and stories a thousand times, and he even repeats powerpoint slides over and over again. Pretty Frustrating. Don't use the books at all...grades papers with bias. If you have to take this course, you will survive, but it's boring. If you don't have to take it...don't.

My advice: take scotch tape to class and tape your eyelids open. Nice and helpful outside of class but he is not a good professor. Exams have absolutely nothing to do with textbook material, only ethical questions he covers in class that you cannot even understand. Worksheets are very time consuming and you don't learn anything from then.

He assigns tons of reading, little of which is tested on. What he does test you on he grades easily. Also, he likes papers. The first 'exam' is at least 3 pages, the second 6 (at 1.5 spacing) and there are three other team projects at 6, 8, and 7 pages each. All this and no "writing enriched" credit. Makes classes seem longer than they are somehow.

Aww, come on people, how can you not love RoJo. he may be a bit boring in 210, but take any of his smaller more discussion focused classes and you'll see why we majors love the guy. sure, we rarely know what he's railing on about, but i got an A so i can't complain. 2 papers. that's it. no exams, no anything. just 2 papers. and he grades nicely.
