Professor Salstrom is honestly one of the best professors I have had this semester. As long as you do the homework and look over the study guide you will pass! He also allows you to have a one page cheat sheet (front & back) for the exams. There are online quizzes and in class quizzes but they are open notes! Homework helps with the in class quiz.

Can use a cheat sheet on tests. Most quizzes online with some done in class. One group project is done which is confusing because he didn't go over half of the calculations. No presentations. homework is for practice never graded. Test have some quiz questions so look over quizzes. overall okay class just study the study guides and you're fine

Funny guy. Clear syllabus that outlined everything, and his quiz problems were also on the test so study those. One group project that was super complicated but i think it is because he had just started doing the project this year. A LOT OF MATH!!! lectures are dry but all of the material he covers is on the test so go to class.

No need for a textbook. He has all the information for the exams in his power points. You should go to classes because his quizzes are based off of his in-class worksheets. The multiple choice part of the exams are based off of his ppt and the free response questions are based off of his quizzes.

He's awesome! Very helpful if you go to his office hours. There's one big project so get it done early so you have enough time to ask for help. The quizzes are based on previous lecture and homework. Super straighforward. 2 midterms and a final. Study from multiple choice questions given and homework. You can use a cheat sheet too

This professor is amazing! The best business professor at SJSU! Super easy!! 2 exams and a final. You get to bring a cheat sheet and he gives you all the multiple choice questions before hand. You learn so much in this class! I wish there were more teachers like him!!

Very very nice and understanding teacher. His lectures are sometimes very boring, sometimes not; it depends. His voice is monotonous, but not unbearably so. The book is used somewhat heavily for studying for his midterms and final, which go pretty in depth for each chapter. One of the fairest and most accommodating profs I've ever had at SJSU.

THe class is pretty straightforward: the quizzes are the same as the homework, and midterms are just the quize questions plus multiple choice questions taken straight from the online practice quizzes from the book. He grades really hard on the project, but if you score well on the midterms and quizzes you can still get an A.

Take stats before as this class is much like it. MC questions come from online ch. guides. HW is harder than tests and quizzes are. Picky on group project grades, but its not alot of points. Nice guy, but boring topic. Easy to get C or B. Allows cheat sheet for tests though. This class is math centered, which is why i say again TAKE STATS FIRST.

Class itself is not that difficult. As long as you attend class and stay on top of your game,it is hard to fail this class. Seems like a good guy and says jokes here and there. However, when you go to him for help, he treats you like you are an idiot sometimes. Overall, average.

Good professor! I think he makes you to work hard. There were 2 projects, 2 midterms and 1 finals. Projects are tedious, but go to his office hrs and ask to get an A. I recommended study from the quizzes, online quizzes, book and his ppt because I found out that is very helpful. 65% of MCQ are from the online quizzes and hw.

Good professor. His lectures are easy to understand even if the material is boring. If you do your homework and go to class, this is not a difficult course. It is math centered, so if take your QBA class first, this is an easy A

Waste of money and waste of time. Didn't learn anything! BS the group projects bc they were BOTH pointless. If this is your concentration take a diff prof so you may LEARN. Not helpful with questions unless you're currently his A students. Only 2 exams, last being the Final and 2 group projects. Had to teach myself bc his lectures are of pp's!

Great teacher. Class is not easy unless complicated math is easy for you. If you study and stay current with homework, you will obtain a B. If you can excel in math and pick a good team for your two projects an A is within reach!

The best professor I have ever had! He's very knowlegeable in the subject. Although there are lots of math involved, he did alot of examples in class. So don't worry. Take good notes, study PP,online quizes, & HW. cuz most of test questions came straight out of there. There are 2 projects. Pick a good group, you'll get an A. Highly recommend him.

Great professor who makes the class as interesting as possible, despite the fact that there is a lot of math involved. If you do the assigned homework and study the online quizzes, you'll receive an easy A on the exams. Pick your group for the projects carefully though, because they're somewhat extensive.

Overall a good teacher. If you suck at math, take a different teacher. Tests questions come from the book word for word. Allowed 1 page of notes per test. Very fair. If you are willing to show up and spend some time going over the homework problems you will pass no problem. If you do the homework, you will get an A.

There are only 3 Exams and 2 Projects, totaling to 400 points. The exams are half multiple choice and half math problems, so it's important you attend class to take notes. The projects are time consuming and he's very nitpicky about the analysis part. This class was hard. Pick another teacher who doesn't give so much math.
