Really funny guy... Class is hard, and you HAVE TO GO TO CLASS! He's laid back and definitely knows what he's teaching! But you have to TRY to get a good grade. Do the pre-tests, and stay on top of the homework!

Good teacher. You HAVE to go to class in order to pass. He gave AWESOME notes that were on his website and you just print them!!! His practice tests are a replica of the real tests.. DO THEM! He likes to talk about his old days in the military. He also works with you about doing make up tests/quiz only prior to the real date. Mrs POLK is HORRIBLE!

I had him for Business Calculus, and then changed my major and had to take Calculus I. Did I get choose him again? Heck yes!!! He is a genuinely nice guy and wants to help you as much as he can. But, one of the best things about him is that he's really into what he teaches. I'm never bored and it keeps my interest :)

Ok to this other person who said he talks too much during class, well he uses some stories to explain the subject, and some are funny. He never rushes we always got out 15-20 mins early. U were probably in the slower classes so u needed more time. Most teachers dont give practice tests, he does. Do you want him to give the answers to the test also?

HATED HIM!!!!!! DO NOT TAKE HIM...unless you like hearing useless stories that he tells ALL during class time then rushes at the end to finish what he was teaching. He doesnt give partial credit, even if the entire class asked him to. His practice tests are not like the tests.

Good teacher, don't listen to the haters. He gives you all the tools needed to ace his class. All of his lecture slides are on his website and his study guides are exactly like the exams. Funny guy, especially for an engineer haha. Had him for college Algebra and Business Calc.

Had him for Statistics. Great teacher and very funny. Typical college professor, if you need help, he'll help you at office hours and not waste class time talking to one person. Gets students hyped about subject content. Uses references to fish in all his test questions, very entertaining.

Had him for Trig and Calc 1. Best math teacher at NWFSC IMO. If you want to actually learn the material and understand it, you might want to pay attention to his stories, they are relevant and do help explain the math. Of course, if you think you are owed something by simply showing up, do us all a favor and just quit every class you are in.

This teacher is THE worst teacher I have EVER had. He comes off a nice, but his teaching method is horrible. He makes you use MyMathLab and does not explain things if you don't get it. He talks about his family instead of teaching. And his tests have extra material not covered in class!

I failed this class. He goes over matierial too quickly and when you ask him a question its hard to get a good anser without him telling you to take it to the math lab. The only people that I know that are passing this class are studying for many hours on their own. You pretty much have to teach yourself. I wouldnt recommend this proffesor.
