Really nice guy, but really confusing and not a good professor. Goes off on random tangents, doesn't connect what is taught to what is in the book, and asks questions on tests that seem more trivial. I think I learned more about classic cars and airplanes than I did statistics.

worst professor i have ever had at DU. Doesn't know how to explain anything and half the time the class has to correct him. Daniels should get rid of him fast before anyone else has to suffer through hi teaching

Weak. We argued and got him to overturn 12 questions on the test once. It took all class, and made him very angry. This was a high point; and I still barely passed the test

I agree with everyone elses comments... in fact, I think we are all in the same class. Farina is a nice person, but a horrible teacher. Will not give any help on homework (which is about 25% of your grade) and his test was a joke. He doesn't teach he just rambles straight from the book. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!!

WORST CLASS EVER. He can't teach. I went into to get help & told me he couldn't help me because it was on HW. He also told another kid that. We also couldn't get the answers to the hw we missed b/c he didn't want it to "circulate" for next year. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. CANNOT explain anything.

Professor Farina means well, but is not very good at explaining concepts in class. His homework assignments are very vague in what he wants to see, and then grades down if he doesn't see exactly what he expects. He is also hard to get a hold of...don't email him if you expect to get a response within 4-5 days!

Skated through class, often coming without having worked the problems he was demonstrating. Had the wrong answers recorded for 20%(!) of the final. Not a bad guy, but did seem committed to the class.
