Contacted this individual for help with organic chemistry. Since he claims to be a professor, I thought he would understand a students plight to succeed in class. Took one look at my email and said it was unethical for him to tutor me or offer any kind of help. Stay away from these individuals, they only care about their own kind and making money.

Dr. Hess is by far the best Chem teacher at Ursinus College. If you plan on taking ORganic chemistry, make sure you take it with Dr. Hess! Hes the man. As long as you pay attention in class youll be fine for the tests.

Dr. Hess is a really nice and caring guy, but I didn't like his teaching style. He tends to just draw on the board and not write any notes. During lecture, write down everything he says because otherwise you will be lost when you go back to study. He's a really sweet person, but not the best teacher in my opinion.

I had Dr. Ronald Hess many years ago, and he has inspired MY caring, patient teaching style as a Biology/Biotechnology professor. His presentations were inspired, clear, lively, without an over-reliance on the technology delivery system. Loved organic chem. then, still love it!

Dr. Hess is hands down the best Chem teacher I've ever had. He knows what he is talking about and he knows how to get it into your head too. Organic Chem is his baby and he makes damn sure he does everything he can for you to understand what is going on, especially if that means working with you one on one outside of class.

Dr. Hess surpasses the role of professor and relates to students as friends. He takes an interest in their personal lives, and has never in his history of teaching here told a student he is "too busy" to help. He truly loves what he teaches, and his enthusiasm for chemistry is contagious. Even though organic is difficult, he makes it enjoyable.

Tortorelli??? are you buggin? Hess is by far the most intelligent teacher i have ever had. It is because of him that i have such a deep understanding of molecular interactions. I am now a grad student in molecular biophysics interested in protein interactions and it is because of him that i hope to solve the protein folding problem. Get Hess!!!
