He just reiterated verbatim from the textbook. Even the examples he wrote down on the board were copied from there. He yelled at me for not reporting a stolen Büchner funnel, even though I was advised against it by another professor. The man has a God complex. Stay home and read the text book. If you're failing he'll say I can't hold your hand.

Dr. T is an absolutely amazing chem professor. He is definitely a conceptual teacher (Hess is more logic and math I would say) and that has been a huge asset for me. He writes on the chalkboard and uses different colors to clarify and is always super available for extra help. An amazingly kind and caring man! Loved him and will take him again! :)

Dr. Tortorelli is one of the best chemistry professors at Ursinus. He is so helpful, trust me. I had such a tough time learning organic 2 but he was very friendly and helpful. No matter how dumb your questions are, he won't make you feel like a complete idiot. LOVE HIM.

He was my advisor freshman year, and I never ended up having him in class because I eventually changed my major to Biology. But I wanted to comment on him because he was extremely interested in my education and did a fantastic job of helping my select my courses and decide what I wanted to make out of my Ursinus education. He's a great guy, and my husband had him for Organic Chemistry and said he was a fantastic prof.

I won't say he's a bad teacher but he is the most anal man alive. I was going through a rather rough time in my life when I took the class and he didn't give an inch, so unless you're the perfect student you might find his policies a bit rough.
