Holme’s is an awesome lecturer, which kind of sucks because he rarely attends his class times. Sometimes he’s sick, other times he’s investigating serial killers in England. The one lecture he gave for the whole semester was worth it.

Dr. Holmes is awesome...but don’t expect to see him very much over the semester. He’s unfortunately fallen ill and rarely attends a lecture. He presented one lecture the entire semester and it was the most interesting 90 minutes of my entire life. I wish I could have heard the dude more. Hilarious, intelligent, and genuine professor. A+++++

Dr. Holmes is awesome! His stories are so interesting, I found myself beating myself up if I overslept for class. I learned a lot from him. He's a really cool teacher. If you have the chance, you should def take one of his classes.

I've had Dr. Holmes for 3 classes now. Even before coming to uofl i was told to take him, and I can see why. Dr. Holmes is the friendliest and most helpful professor there is. He makes every day enjoyable with real examples of crime from his history in justice. Plainly put...you will want to go to class and see what he has in store for you.

I enjoyed this class every time I went. He is very funny and talks about the interesting stuff in the JA world. We watched a ton of movies and got points on small papers about them. The only negative is he didn't hardly teach out of the book so when tests came around some of the material was unfamiliar.

After taking an intro JA course with Dr. Holmes, I went into my advisors office and told him I wanted to switch my major to JA. He said, "let me guess, you have Holmes this semester?" Very easy teacher, funny, lets you miss a day after the tests, although they are online anyway. His stories of speaking with serial killers are very interesting.

Holmes is a great, funny and intelligent teacher. He knows what he's talking about, through his discussions with pretty much every famous serial killer ever. Lectures were entertaining, but sometimes a bit gross. Tests are easy, but I wouldn't recommend waiting until the end of the semester to take all three.

It was a very very interesting class, all his tests were online, and you had all semester to take them. He made jokes with the basketball and football players in the class. He really knew what he was talking about. Sometimes class was canceled because he was working on a crime profile. Great Teacher, Great Class take it to fill any elective.
