If you're reading this it's too late. Great teacher! You can pass this class with an A 8 weeks into the semester! A lot of work but not too much and not difficult at all, so you can do the packets fast. If you show up 5 mins late you can't take the weekly quiz (- 5 points). Unfortunately he will be retired very soon!

This was a hard class . It required a lot of work. Mr. Mummaw knows his stuff and will help you if you're willing to do the work. Don't try to get by with as little as possible. You won't make it.

I like the class but he makes it boring. Tough grader-tiny mistakes, cross it out. He answers your question like you are supposed to know everything. Don't care you are in class, just need your assignment. Don't take his course if you are not good because you will be on your own risk.

If you aren't motivated on your own and can't figure things out for yourself don't bother. Has a habit of getting rude with repeated questions . Does not know how to motivate people. Talking down to people does nothing you'd figure after how many years he'd figure that out. Or he doesn't care which seems to be his overall attitude.

Ronald is literally the best you can get. If you need help he's there, just don't expect him to do your work for you! He'll generally guide you in the right direction he wants you to think for yourself he's not some pushover who'll give you the answer just for trying. That said his lectures are fun, informative, and interesting. GREAT INSTRUCTOR!

Took his class, he was helpful when needed but for the most part everything is laid out as long as you read all the instructions. It was a good intro class to computer information science and I loved being able to do homework in class if you had any questions, while Lindsey Stirling played softly in the background!

The Good- Lays it out for you, clear and easy grading criteria. Can do all of the work within the first month stop coming to class for the A The Bad- not helpful at all he seems to get annoyed while helping students which is terrible for morale for those trying to learn. For a teacher that stresses attendance he is constantly late.

Easy A all you have to do is the lab work and homework, he gives you the answers for the quiz, and you can do your hw in class and turn it in, once you reach the max amount of points you have an A and can leave. I took it in the summer and it was no prob at all. Take him you'll be glad you did!!

He will try and scare away students the first day who have no programming experience. Going in I had never programmed a day in my life. Due dates & assignments are clear. Test are open notes & open book but not open computer. Follow his instructions carefully & put in the time to make good notes as well as complete each assignment and you'll fine.

This class was to easy for a college level course. The class is out of 99 points plus like 30 possible extra credit point. once your reach 90 points you have an A and can stop coming to class. Doesn't matter how many weeks are left. I took him during the summer (8 week semester) I had an A (90 points) and was done in 4 1/2 weeks. To Easy. Take It!!

If you do not have any programming experience do not take him! He does not know how to explain and expects you to know the material, I basically taught myself from reading the book over and over. I would not recommend him to anyone.

Clear expectations, approachable, helpful and fair. I'm glad I had him for C. I only wish I had him for C++, I might understand it better. One of few great teachers on campus.

You should have a basic concept of what decision statements and loops are, if you get those, then learning the syntax and quirks of C shouldn't be at all difficult for you.

Don't let the hat fool you, this guy knows his stuff. He won't just hand you the answer to a question, he tries to get you to think. (such a novel concept, thinking in college?) If you pay attention, read the book, and do the homework, you will excel in his class.

If you know computers, this class is easy. I opened the book once and got 104% in the class. And that was with skipping the last 5 weeks. Your grade is accumulative, one you have 90 points in the class, you have an A. If you are happy with your grade, you can stop showing up. Just do the homework and come to class and you'll do well.

He encourages you to work ahead in the book, so you can fix your work. But then if you need help with the work, he can't answer you because he only know the material he reads before class. I agree he is at class for one reason, the pay check. I've learned more off Google.

Assembly isn't tough, it's just tedious. Do the work, turn in the assignments, and you'll be fine. Mummaw is the man for getting the concepts in your brain. Expect food references... a lot.
