Every lecture is PAINFUL. He refused to give me full credit on an assignment I did correctly and got the right answers. It was too much to ask of him. Here's a quote from his last class email: "There have been far, far too many requests for grade reports to answer them all... I shall not answer the individual requests." AVOID if you like good profs

Very hard to understand. Manages to make simple concepts very complex. Homework due 3 days per week. Usually lectures about homework concepts after it's due. Tests on random things from the book. Get old tests because he does recycle questions. Gives almost everyone in the class a C and very few A's and B's. Avoid if possible.

He is one of the worst teachers I have ever taken. I received an A- although 75% did receive a C due to his grading scale. He is willing to help if you go to his office hours and what not, but his lectures and homework are completely useless.

While Keil sincerely wants to be helpful his teaching style is nearly incomprehensible. Spends most of class deriving formulas in the book, NO numerical examples whatsoever. I think if I hear the term "differential area" again my head will explode! Would recommend avoiding if possible.

The worst prof ever. Avoid at all costs. He gives 75% of the class C's!!!! Plus, you never actually learn a thing since his lectures are pointless.

Wow. Definetly the most unorganized class I have EVER had. He doesn't use blackboard so you never have any idea what your grade is, and homework is due every class period. Everyone I knew in that class was just dying for it to be over with.

He's a terrible teacher. Not only do his lectures make no sense, but it's gotten to the point where he'll just lecture on the homework we did the night before (which no one knows how to do since we don't get lectured on the material). Just rediculous. He does let us have open book/notes for tests though. I don't recommend him at all.

He is overall a good teacher, gives lots of examples and is always willing to help, you have to keep him on track in class though. He loves tangents... The tests are hard though, study all your homework and random book problem sif you want to get a B in class.Only like 6 A's are given out a term by him. The final was ridiculously hard but he warned us

Marks you down for unspecified things if you leave it out. Won't give you points when you bring it to his attention, just says "I'll probably make it more clear next year." Also talks to students in a deameaning manner. Sort of rude if you can catch on to it. Final was ridiculous. 6 I'll probably get a B. but proly better than other profs.

Keil is a very dedicated teacher who likes to see his students succeed. The tests are not easy, but he lets you use any resources you wish on them. Daily homework is a PITA, so get the solution manual from DC++ or something. Very helpful in office hours. Oh and he loves talking about cars, he likes to go on automotive segways in lecture sometimes.

cool guy, good one-to-one explanations, but you should always interrupt him to get him back on track, because he'll try to spend as much time as possible on one problem by explaining to you unnecessary concepts.
