Rose is simply amazing! I enjoyed her class and felt that she went above and beyond to teach the material. She even graded our papers and mailed them to us even though it was an online class! I am currently enrolled in another of her classes and am loving it! She is brilliant yet down to earth and easy to talk to!

If you are a virtual college student, pay attention to the critical reviews on here. She was an absentee professor and I would NOT recommend her for an online course. Her grading on essays is inconsistent and her comments are completely unhelpful. Exams have some obscure questions, but you can use the book. Just make sure that you do your reading!

Comment:

I took Sociology of Death and Dying with Rose Spring of 2009. The class covers some very heavy subjects, so if you don't want an in-depth look into death from all aspects, don't take the class. I learned SO much from this class, and Rose brought up a lot of topics that provoked deep thinking. Also, Rose still speaks to me in the hallway even today!

I had her for sociology of death and dying and if you are uncomfortable with death, this class is NOT for you. She does not sugar coat ANYTHING in her class. Awesome teacher though and is willing to answer questions. Heavy, heavy, use of the books, do not think you can get away without them and pass at all.

Great professor. Enjoys teaching SOC. Very helpful and always quick to respond. Took the time to grade papers and mail them back with comments even though it was online course. Didn't like the text book very much but her exam questions were straight from the book, word for word. Would take a course with her again!
