I really enjoyed having Professor McCarthy. She is not a hard grader and she is straight to the point with what she wants from you which I highly appreciated. She is not only nice, understanding, and knowledgable, she understands her students and helps them in the way they need her help. If I could take her for education course I definitely would.

Professor McCarthy is not very good at communicating the knowledge that she has or at helping students to clarify what she has presented. I am not impressed with her knowledge base. Any feminist philosopher could do her job, more than likely with better success. the readings are predictable as are the ideas she presents in the course.

Prof McCarthy is deeply knowledgeable of her subject and committed to her students' learning. Additionally, she is a model, an excellent example, of how to be a teacher who creates an environment where students are encouraged to think and explore.

She knows what she is talking about better then anyone I know. Easy grader, but you may have to do it a few times over for her till you get it right. Her lectures could get kind of boring and tiredsome

This prof wants you to understand the meaning behind the concepts, not the text version of them. Her assignments have meaning behind them and so does every session in class. She wont keep you there if she believes u understand the point - thats her only goal. Take her!! Shes a good grader also, she just wants to know u get it! GREAT ED TEACHER!
