She was my professor for printmaking back in the early 90s at the University of Arizona. She's no-nonsense when it comes to criticism, but she knew what she was talking about in regards to what it takes to be an artist. She didn't have time for flattery, white lies, or hiding the real world from students. I am now a librarian, not an artist.

Rosie is an amazing person and amazing teacher. She absolutely picks favorites, but as long as your honest with her and have a passion for the work you produce she will see that and support you regardless of whether or not she necessarily likes your work..but if she doesn't she'll definetly tell you how to fix it.

I love Rosie! She is a amazing teacher who really peaked my interest in printmaking. She is always coming in between classes and on the weekends if we need help with projects. She is blunt with her critiques but that's her style, she tells it as it is. I would recommend taking any class you can with her, she is awesome!

Rosi was a powerful teacher who cared deeply about her students and their work. She pushed our limits so that we would grow. Anyone that has anything negative to say was someone that didn't want to grow. Her critiques were the toughest until one understands her. Then they are room for growth.

Good artist, lousy teacher. Rude to students. Quite frankly, she's abusive. You can be a tough prof, but you can also do it without making your students feel like they should just kill themselves or drop out. Tried my best, just was never good enough for her.

I took a few classes with Rosie and am very grateful for the opportunity to have met and learned from her. Rosie is a real artist, very talented-smart and contemporary-and head strong. To the serious student, who takes their art and art education seriously, passing up the opportunity to learn from Rosie would be a tragedy. I recommend her 100%.

Rosie comes off as nice at first, but is actually quite rude. She is presumptuous and frankly a little abusive to those she deems unworthy of her praise. If you have a weakness (be it art related, social, or heath related) she will see it and exploit you for it. She plays favorites, and will not pass you if she doesnt like your talent. She is very unwilling to help out of class if you arent a favorite, and definately not if you are ill or injured. She is the worse prof I have EVER had.

She's a tough professor. She'll keep pushing you to do better with your work. She expects your artwork to be presented in the best quality possible. I do admit that she will say positive things anout your work during critiques, unlike some profs at KSC.
