I have 2 say that the first few weeks in her class I thought she was out 2 get me! As time went by though, I realized that when she criticized my work she was trying to make it better. I had no other Prof. push me to do better like she did. I thank her for it, because as a designer, she didn't let me settle for "Good enough." Will take her again.

Prof. Mayer is a great teacher. She's very soft-spoken, so listen up when she speaks. Helped me learn a great deal and always gave constructive criticism. She WILL speak her mind, so if you have a very thin skin, you may want to pick someone else. Otherwise, don't be afraid if you see her name in your schedule! She knows what she's talking about.

She IS a HORRIBLE professor. She makes very biased comments about people's assigments, rather than constructive criticism when grading (ie. "You get the idea, but your work is SLOPPY") AVOID THIS PROFESSOR. Plays favorites among students, and refused to help me understand her assignments/concept.
