She is a nice old lady however her teaching style is terrible. She is very quiet and on the first day expects you to know almost all the material. I haven't taken Bio1&2 in some years now and she was asking questions without even teaching the material. Overall she gives too much work for a class like Zoo which should be somewhat of a breather class

I really feel bad that people do not appreciate Dr. James. She is an excellent teacher. Her course is based off of animal anatomy and physiology. Your grade is based off 3 lab exams nd there are other parts to your grade. The course is only difficult if you don't study. If you study, it will be ok. I liked the class.

Her class will be very difficult if you are bad at memorization. DO NOT RELY on review material to get you through her class. Study the textbooks, labs, and attend open lab. She's very nice, but a very difficult professor in terms of her exams. No multiple choice at all, and all exams are based on lab material and dissections. Be prepared.

I dont know how people say she is a difficult professor. She is the nicest woman in the universe and explains the material quite well. I kept up with all the lab work and studied for all my quizzes and got an A-. Not bad at all. I will take her for senior seminar too

OMG. This lady is horrible. She writes all over the Blackboard you won't know where she begins and ends. You have to do the homework, those are very important ( hw, every week). The quizes and tests are not hard. But this lady is just ....boring

She's certainly a great professor. You do have to keep up w/ the lab assignments. To me they were easy. She always offer extra credits. She has a positive attitude & very helpful. As long as you study you'll pass her test. I consider her to be best professor in the biology dep't & my favorite in the school. I wish she teach class like Anatomy & Phy
