I am taking my second class with prof McGrann and I have to say Im not a fan. He flies through 100+ lecture slides in less than 1.5 hours so the lectures are basically useless. Also in lecture, he is extremely condescending when people ask questions. I know people that wont talk in lecture any more because of how unreceptive he is to questions.

Super intelligent and funny man. Very unique teaching style - expects you to know material beforehand, or learn it yourself. Speeds through lectures, succint (good and bad thing). Exams are fair. Be ready for a semester project (worth it in the end).

mr. engineering. i think he's the best engineering professor ever -- very clear, almost mechanical -- but funny. like a funny engineering machine. did not bring cake to others (or himself) for his birthday. great class -- and go to office hours!

McGrann is an extremely intelligent professor, who enjoys teaching. He puts up old exams for you to practice and the actual exam ends up similar to the old ones. He also has high expectations, but you will do fine if you attend class.
