Comment:

He lets you use your textbook with sticky notes in it which is nice because otherwise everyone would be completely unprepared for his exams. He does not teach well at all and works another job which seems to take priority over this one. He talks more about how important this subject is to learn as an engineer than he does teach the actual subject.

plan on teaching yourself the entire class, you wont get any help from him. He lets you use the book for the exams. writes problems on the board for the majority of class without saying a word about them usually has errors

If you enjoy the idea of paying hundreds of dollars to listen to an old republican recite anecdotes that only sometimes relate haphazardly to the subject material at hand, then this professor is just for you!

He started our first lecture by going over the homework found in the syllabus, that we didn't get until just then. All we ever did was go over homework problems. He never lectured or actually taught the material. All I can say is avoid him at ALL costs, but if you have to take him, find yourself a good tutor and be prepared to teach yourself.

If you want to really learn Dynamics, I would not take Tronca. I do not feel like I learned much after that class. I ended up with a BC in the class after the final dropped my grade from a 92.5% to that. So that shows you how prepared I was. He does try to be helpful though. No homework is assigned. Just two exams and a final.

Doesnt seem 2 care 4 teachin. Spends most of time givin 'life experiences' instead of going over material. Gives no feedback on tests-justs lists -20 or -15. No reason why its marked down at all or what is wrong in the problem. But as long as u show up, he'll find a way 2 pass u.

Teaches by doing example problems in class, which is basically how you learn the material in this class...lots of practice. Tells you what types of problems will be on the test. Exams are 3 short problems, and can be done in 25 minutes if you know what you're doing. Definately will take him again in the future if the chance is there.

Horrible teacher, you pay for 50 minutes of teaching and he can barely fill 5 minutes with actual lecture and 25 minutes of tangents. He may be a good guy in industry and he makes it clear that that is where his head is. In other words he doesn't care about teaching.
