He is very hard to understand and never clarifies what he is talking about. In order to pass his class, you have to remember everything word for word. It's not worth it. Try the other economics professors

Professor Caine was brilliant. I just completed an MBA, and I can tell you I learned more from his class than any other I have taken. Yes, his tests are word for word, but that is because it is impossible to memorize it. He gives you the answer he wants so you HAVE to understand it in order to really memorize the answer. Very underrated.

Professor Caine was great when I had him many years ago. He is elderly but very fair and has probably forgotten more about economics than most people can ever learn. Many of these reviews are unfair. He's a good man and good teacher. I took him for Macro and Micro.

Caine needs to retire. A complete waste of human teaching life. He cancelled class more than we actually had class. Will not help you in any way. His test/exams are word for word. This guy was awful. I failed his class miserably. I went to class everytime we actually had class. We had more cancelled classes than actual classes becuase he is terminally ill. DO NOT TAKE A CLASS WITH THIS MAN. YOU WILL FAIL. And you will hate him.

He has a very EASY grading system, 80% test, 20% Little cards that are due 80% into the course. The problem is that he is incoherent and NEVER clerifies ANYTHING. The man is VERY old, and TERMINALLY ILL. Its impossible to rely on him for help as he won't give you anything worth your time. Take the OTHER proffessor if you want an enjoyable class.

He is more than fair. Like others have stated, he gives tests the first day of class. Don't think this means they will be easy. He expects more or less word for word what was taught in class. As long as you can memorize and take excellent notes. Rupert is funny and entertaining!

I got to his class, thought it was a JOKE. He asked how many of us were going to get an F. It took him an hour to say a sentence and was no prepeared for class. I dropped his class the first day.. dont take his class.

I took him for both economics 203 and 204. He is an awesome guy. Even though his test are essay form, he gives you the test question in advance and goes over the questions and how you should answer then right in class. If you take good notes and go to class i would definitely take him. It will be easy for you. Very friendly and helpful if you ask.

Absolutely insane. Exams are in long essay form. I answered his question with a (relevant and coherent) 4 page response. He handed it back with: "F - DID YOU EVEN READ THE BOOK?" Rupert, it's basic supply and demand, not a freakin' bar exam! I would avoid like the plague...
