Do not take this class. While it's relatively easy to get a high mark, you'll have to sell your soul to do it. It's not worth it. Houldin is a kind man but a terrible orator. Lectures are rambling lists of econ concepts. Assignments are plentiful but irrelevant. I can't recall a single time the environment was mentioned (in an ENV course!).

He is a really sweet guy. He goes over the basics a bit too much, but this is an excellent class to take. You need to be self-motivated, but the workload is not heavy. You will learn a lot, and he will give you helpful feedback. Plus, no exam!

Very approachable and helpful. I was an overseas student who didn't have much background in Ontario political/environmental history and he lent me his own materials to give me background. Really smart guy, and a good subject though sometimes a little dry.
