Worst professor I've ever had. I've always been pretty decent at math-took calc my senior year of high school. Statistics is not a difficult concept. Russell Campbell makes statistics difficult. Didn't go over concepts well; when asked to go over things he would get irritated. Humiliated students in front of the class. I had to get a tutor to pass.

Literally the worst teacher I have ever had. He makes absolutely no sense. It is supposed to be easy material but he makes things up. If I didn't have to take this class I would've dropped it. I wanted to get a new teacher but by the time I realized how awful he is it was too late. Whatever you do do not take a class with him! You WILL regret it!!

Worst teacher on campus. Cant understand what he is saying and his handwriting looks like hieroglyphics. Constantly talks about how rowing is his favorite sport and random stories about the British parliament. Have taught myself everything. Only reason I am passing is because the SI is amazing for this class. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLASS!!!

Campbell isn't as bad as he seems! He TRIES to make things funny. He makes simple concepts seem far more difficult than they actually are. He gives 3pt quizzes every day over material covered during the last class and takes the best 17 (out of 20) scores. I went to every class and was still confused, so if you're a frequent skipper, don't take him.

If you can help it don't take any class with this professor. His writing is barely readable, how he talks is hard to understand and he teaches the material in a very confusing way. You have quizzes every Friday or a test. The only way many of my classmates and I passed this course is because we had a great TA that basically taught us the material.

I would change Stats classes if possible, this class will only bring down your GPA. This is another Tenure Prof that needs to go. He doesn't explain things very well. If you are good with numbers you should be okay, this class takes up a lot of time if you go to the SI sessions.

I have nothing good to say about Professor Campbell.. He does not care about his students, and when he calls on you and you get it wrong he'll tell you that you are stupid. The class is very difficult.

To start on a good note, he's a nice guy. Now for the bad: he's very monotonous. He makes things much more complicated than they need to be (I'm by no means a math genius but the easiest math course offered should not be so difficult. I shouldn't struggle to get a C). You need to go to class. Miss a class and you'll be lost.

Not a good Professor. He is really hard to understand and does not do good job-wording things. I think the tests and quizzes sometimes got difficult because of this. If you think you can survive go for it, but I recommend trying for a different professor. He just makes the material a lot harder than it has to be. Struggle with math? Do not take! :(

Awful. He cannot explain things well. Makes things far more complicated than they need to be. The course should be simple, but he makes it incredibly difficult to follow along. If you generally need help with math, do not take this course, he will not help and even tutors don't know how to help you with his course. Find a different professor.

I enjoyed taking my math class by this professor, the other claims made of him being difficult is true, but only to a point. If I wasn't limited by the 350 character limit I would say much more, but if you want to pass his class, you need to attend class everyday and make sure you ask questions to fully understand what he's saying. If not, fail.

DON'T PUT YOURSELF THROUGH IT. Get out as soon as possible, he is the worst math teacher I have every experienced. If you are good at teaching yourself you will be okay but that class is a joke. Everyone sits there and laughs because he doesn't make sense. Don't let yourself fall victim to him!!!

Yep, it's as bad as it seems. I'm not good at math so I took the lowest course for the LAC requirement and got stuck with Campbell. On material that in reality is very simple, he is a master at making it WAAAAAY more complicated than it should be. I'm sure tutoring would help, but still, try not to get stuck like I did.

The lecture is very unclear and the way he speaks makes it very difficult to understand the material. He has difficulty explaining the notes in a way that makes sense to everyone. When questions are asked, he restates what is already on the board. His voice is super monotone, so you can't tell what is part of the notes and what is a random story.

The only way I passed this class was because I went to tutoring twice a week.. I learned everything from that and the textbook. Going to class was a waste of time because I never understood anything that happened. He has a practice tests on his website that are very similar to the tests he give but that was the only helpful thing he ever gave us.

If there is ANYBODY else you can take your course with, avoid him like the plague unless you enjoy boring lectures and teaching yourself math. I personally found the book to be much clearer and understandable than his lectures. STAY AWAY! YE BE WARNED
