He and Professor Anderson worked really well together with this course. They both had a developed sense of how the students learn best and tailored the course in this way. One of my favorite classes in ECE yet!

Projects were challenging but they really tested/improved your programming skills. He taught in a clear way, although a little boring. He goes through the material a little slow, but that's not a bad thing. A great professor overall.

He goes over the material pretty slowly (which isn't a bad thing) and it is amazing to me to see students fall behind. Don't cheat on the projects and you won't fail the class. Learning to code on your own and actually figuring it out is what gets you the A. He is a great professor.

Great Teacher. Knows what he is talking about and is very helpful. Passionate about his work and there are many projects and homeworks to understand the material. The projects are relatively hard but he is very helpful and as long as you do not wait until the last minute you should be fine. Make sure you use his office hours or email him a lot.

Not very helpful when asking for help tells to go to TA instead. Class pretty fair with regards to grading not either 0 or 100 give decent amount of partial credit and likes to see his students do well.

The labs were Much too difficult, even for experienced programmers!! His policy was either a 0 or a 100 on them. Even when you showed an understanding of material, you would get no credit if not perfect. Emotional scarring may fade away, but that big fat F on your transcript won't.

although I come from a longtime programming background, I think he has a way of making programming concepts clear (which is not an easy task). tests and projects were fair. homework is pretty involved for a measly 1% of your final avg; but unless you have your programming knowledge down pat, you're going to screw yourself by skipping homeworks.

Very clear. try remember to print out the slides before class and skim through them... the book is almost useless compaired to the slides...understand the slides and u get an A :)
