The syllabus threw up so many red flags I dropped at the end of the first week. Do not regret it. Grading is based solely on three 100 pt exams. Zero flexibility. Exams are tough too. If you're looking for an easy Natural Sciences course this is not it.

interesting course. More like meteorology than geography, but awesome professor. Has funny and resourceful. Lots of cool/funny aids (videos, photos, etc) conscious of and tends to all learning styles

Professor Kelly is ridiculous. Does not tell you what's on the test and is a grading nazi. Save yourself the heartache and money and do not take his class. I'm an A student and had to drop the class because he refuses to let you what to prepare for on the exam! DO NOT TAKE HIM, I can't stress this enough

Great teacher. I did fairly well in his class due to the fact that i enjoyed the material. The class was rather difficult though. All you can do to get points in the class are the exams. and there are only 3. really cool guy though. hes hilarious too! highly recommend. if you like the material, you will do well in the class. and his humor is a plus

Please! DO NOT take his class if at all possible. I am a straight A student and am currently enrolled in his course. I have studied every night harder than I have for any other course and I am not sure if I will even pass with a D! He gives 6 assignments (all conversions) and 3 tests that are extremely hard and I had help from a 4.0 Geography major

Not an easy class. If your looking for an easy A or B go else where. Only gives 3 grades the whole semester and they are 3 tests. These tests arent easy either. You dont have to come to class though but you shouldnt miss or you will be in trouble for the tests. He is very nice though and a cool teacher. Def knows his stuff though!

Difficult teacher. Only gave 3 tests and that was the entire grade, test were hard. Personally didnt think he was a great teacher and over half of our class either withdrew or failed. After this emailed us all and blamed all of the grades on students, not on his teaching style.

Great teacher. I was never interested in Geography before this class, but he made it fun and very interesting. I learned a lot during the course. He also takes an interest in his students and their personal interests, which is something I had never encountered before. That really helps you get interested in the class.

Great, Great Teacher. Really knows what he's talking about and explains it well (He's been to most every place he talks about) Although he doesnt take attendance you will need to go to class if you want to do well. Would recommend him to anyone.

Honestly there are no good teachers in Geography, Sociology or Anthro at Bluegrass. The department head is a total radical. Why live in America and then hate it? And, for a student, why take a useless BS class that is VERY hard. Avoid... thank me later.

I loved this teacher. He has traveled the world and is way over qualified to teach this class. It is extremely interesting and never gets boring. I really felt like I learned something. Tests are pretty hard and while attendance isn't reqired, you should go everyday. Again, great teacher!

Kelly has been to every place on the planet, and will waste no time telling you how they're all better than the USA. It goes beyond politics, he dislikes America very, very much. It shows. Keeps sense of humor. Showed graphic, violent videos; one girl cried. Tests are also hard; passed map quizzes, but test essay questions (biased) were very hard.
