Rarely showed up to class, powerpoint notes are pretty straight forward. If you do attend lecture he does give good examples that reference to a clinical setting to help you understand it. Tests are a little tricky, gotta study more than just the powerpoint if you want higher than a B. Lab helps a lot. Overall a nice prof and would take again.

Dr. Tierney is one of the better teachers in the Kinesiology department. He understands his students and is always more than willing to help. He just reads off of his PowerPoints, attendance isn't mandatory, and the book isn't worth buying.

hes a good teacher that knows his materials but in order to pass STUDY>STUDY>STUDY.never been to class, its waste of time and energy. read the powerpoints and study from the lecture notes...only thing i hated about him is that he always reflected his wedding ring in the sunlight. very annoying... but good course to take.

I hardly ever went to class, no need to. I can read the powerpoint presentations myself, I don't need him to read them to me. Go to lab though! That is where the real hands on learning occurs. In all fairness though, he is a really nice person and tries to explain things in a somewhat animated way.

He is a nice person but has a really monotonous voice. I guess the subject is really hard anyways but if his voice had a little more life to it, it would be easier not to daydream. He is a nice and friendly person because I have talked to him after class and he is nice.

If you are a business student, get out of this class ASAP! I took this as Science A requirement and each exam is 100 questions, and you take ten exams in the semester; a lot of unnecessary work if you are not a medical/nursing major. Tiernery is nice though and helpful, I got a B.

Verbatim, verbatim, verbatim!! Also boring!! He is really nice too, but I learned that he can read off a slide instead of teaching the material from the slide!! I want him to do better because he is really nice and helpful, but I'm glad that he can read! Do the study questions if U want 2 do well.

Ditto (what every1 else said) but it isn't that tierney's mean he's a real good dude n he's cute n a mousy kinda way but he does read the notes to u (in that way he's like a good dad reading his students a naptime story) b/c there r like 5 ppl including him and 4 of those ppl are sleep! But he's ok.
