TAKE NOTES.You don't use the books AT ALL.Gives you a final and maybe a few questions on the final will actually be on the test--so make sure you study ALL OF YOUR NOTES. make essays detailed. Attendance is important..I had an F in here starting out, but ended up with a B bc I studied and made note cards for ALL of my notes.

Take your notes, go to class, ask questions. He was one of my favorite history teachers ever. He will answer your questions, and he will help in any way he can.

Make sure you take notes. You don't need to buy the books. For the test just make sure your look over the study guide and your notes. He is a good teacher. Take good notes and listen to him is the key to the class. Pay attention and you'll pass.

Not a hard teacher. Go to class, don't buy the book, take note, and KNOW THE MATERIAL! So what, the study guide is only half of the test, but he covers EVERYTHING THAT WILL BE ON THE EXAM! He is funny, and you can ask questions after class. Just be honest with him and you can get anything excused, and his make up tests are done thru the HST Sec.

He's really funny and nice but he's def. not the best teacher. All you do is take notes...for 2 1/2 hours. He gives study guides but half of the test isn't even on the study guide. The only thing he grades you on are 3 essay tests and attendance so there's not really a lot of room to mess up. It was difficult.

I was very disappointed with this professor. The class was fairly easy; tests were straight-forward, but I felt it could have been much better. He simply sits in his chair and tells stories, while you scribble frantically to get the notes0-- since tests are based on notes and no text framework is provided. Nice guy, but I wouldn't recommend him.

He gives you a study guide with the EXACT questions that you have to write your essays on, drops the lowest test grade.Looks for key words in essay's as your grade, even if you used it incorrectly.Im a history major so I enjoyed geting so much information, if you want to just "breeze by" take someone else but hes still not difficult

Um. I like him personally, but wouldnt take him again or recommend him for that matter? Yes he gives a study guide, but its very misleading because lots of things are left out =/ Tests are essays...hard. Very hard. Had him for a night class and he really did lecture for over 2 hours :( Boring. Likeable, but not recommended.

He gives you a study guide, but it doesn't help because things that are on the study guide aren't on the test. Very picky when grading essays. Terribly boring.

Very Nice Guy and willing to help one out a lot. But i wouldn't sugest taking him. His lectures are really long but interesting. Test cover a lot of information and if your not a History major you will be in trouble. 3 test....he drops the lowest one and they are many essay questions!

The guy drops your worst test score. No joke. his lectures are long and can get boring, but he actually tells you everything that will be covered on the test one week prior to it. study your notes on the given topics and you can't miss. if you struggle show some effort and be candid with him. he will help you.

Mr. Foster really is the man. Yeah, there's only three tests but if you do bad on the first he'll take it out. Study for tests and talk to the guy and he might hook you up.

Very friendly. Lectures the entire time. Cuts you slack on your final grade if he can see that you're trying. If you listen, you'll do well. Would recommend to others. Takes attendance so you'd better be there.

The greatest professor ever! He was also my high school teacher, and he is so nice. He makes History come alive so that you want to listen to every word he says. He also is so funny and does impressions. He looks like a very hugable teddy bear.

VERy hard. Hard to understand most of the time. IF you do not like History DO NOT TAKE. Tests consist of 40 fill in the blank, and 3 essay. 3 tests make up your ENTIRE grade. so if you do terrible on one test, you are SCREWED! Good Luck!
