She is a good professor and clearly loves her job. Her lectures are not bad. However, she is one of the hardest graders I have ever had. Even if you get the answer right, she will still find something about it that isn't, and take points off. Other than her grading, I did not mind having her as a professor.

Don't bother taking her class! Choose other two profs.in the dept. If she does not like you, there is NOTHING you can do! VERY set in her beliefs and will not change her mind about you. Very discouraging experience!

This is the best professor i have ever had! She is so knowledgeable of global politics. Contrary to the viewpoint that will possibly be below me, Dr. Manian is a very fair professor and mentor. She also does allow other view points; I suppose some people just can't take an alternative argument or debate what she says.

Dr. Manian is so awesome. She is extremely friendly and energetic. She has a vast knowledge of International Relations which is helpful for lccturing without notes. She makes the course interesting and is always willing to help and tries to encourage interest in the IR field. Anyone majoring in IR ask her to be your advisor, without a doubt.

Great professor, best at LC hands down. Obviously an expert in her field, cares about students and truely wants them to understand the world around them. She will challange you, encourage intelligent conversation and make sure both sides of the arguments are understood. Her enegry and enthusiasm for IR are contagious, LC would be a better school for having more professors like Dr. Manian.

Dr. Manian is VERY open-minded and lets EVERYONE have their say in her class...when a clearly one-sided comment is made, she is always ready with the other side's opinion---she doesn't bring the other side's comment to the conversation to MAKE it one-sided---she wants both sides heard. Excellent teacher, very enthusiastic

A very biased teacher, does not allow for other opinions to be heard in class...if it isn't liberal then forget it. I know liberals are usually right but an open forum where all opinions are voiced and heard is the best learning environment. She needs to figure that out and allow for debate in her class. This is coming from a Democrat. I believe in hearing other's opinions whether I agree with them or not...Dr. Manian needs to figure this out also. Otherwise she seems to be a good teacher.
